Music:
I enjoy all music and am always open to hearing new things. Although when it comes down to it I really enjoy country music.
Movies:
When I actually have the time to sit down and enjoy a good movie I love a movie that can scare the pants off me. Growing up with just my mom and I, I can remember sitting in the dark at night watching Elvira and waiting till the opportunity to scare each other... she always won. So now that I am older the scary movie lover in me is still there. Come to find out my 3 year old daughter has informed me that her favorite movie is "mommies movie, The Texas Chainsaw Massacre." She tells me "its okay mommy, its not scary, he just needs a big Band-Aid!" On a side note I do enjoy tear jerkers and of course the everyday Disney flick with my daughter.
Television:
By the time my day has come to an end and after numerious attempts to catch a quick flick....I give up and tell myself maybe tomorrow.
Books:
Growing up I never really enjoyed reading books because you could always watch the movie in under half the time and not have to put much thought or energy into it. It wasn't till I became a nanny and pregnant with my daughter that I found a new respect for reading. When most woman were craving chocolate, pickles, ice cream, etc, I craved reading. Once I picked a book up I could not put it down...Clan of the cave bears (the whole series), Harry Potty (the first 3) Dean Koontz, and a few others here and there. But let me tell you, once she was born reading went on the back burner once again. If I read anything now its Dr. Seuss, Goodnight Moon, and you cant forget the whole series of Sesame Street ABC's and 123's.
Heroes:
Hero...That is quite a big word and title to give a person. If I had to sit back and think if I have ever called anyone "My Hero" there would be 1 person, my mother. When most were thinking about what they were going to do when they graduated high school my mom was thinking of baby names, blue or pink, and the future of her unborn child. From the beginning she raised me alone, working hard to give me everything I needed even though she gave up a lot for herself and never complained once. I knew that whenever I needed a hug, someone to brush my long hair, or just the comfort of crawling into my moms bed after a bad dream she has always been there for me. No matter who comes and goes in my life my mom will always be there for me, never judging me, supporting my decisions and will eternally be my hero.
