Thanks for coming to the spot. The name's Rick Ramos. I was born in Phoenix, Arizona and am currently living in this crazy dream called Los Angeles. Things have been worse and things have been better, but rarely have they been more fun. To let you know a little bit about me I grew up in Phoenix and did everything possible to get the hell out of there before I turned eighteen. Problem was I made a bad choice and ended up in Evanston, Illinois for four years of undergraduate school hell. (I don't want to get into details, but rarely have I been a more lily-white place.) Well that adventure is over and thus another one begins.Going to school to study film history and production I quickly found out that there's no money to be made unless you're a star, so therein began the long, slow race towards fame. Fortunately for me I picked the one goal that I've always been drawn to . . . I dived into the world of stand-up comedy and eight years later find myself that much closer to success and that much farther from distress. In the six years since I moved to Los Angeles I've fought the good fight and haven't gone down yet. I've worked my way into the Laugh Factory, the Improv, and was made a regular at the World Famous Comedy Store in June of 2002. It's been a good time and it's only getting better.

My Interests

Thoughts, Opinions, and Other Nonsense No One Gives a Damn About

I was listening to John Lee Hooker the other night. I've had this thing about Hooker since I first heard this duet he did with Van Morrison back in '92 - hard to believe that it's been that long, bu...
