I am here for Friends

About Me

I'm a Sociology Major, and I know crap when I see it. So, don't try to run any crap by me as being good stuff. Its not good stuff, and I will tell you why its not good stuff, whether you want to hear it or not. And I will back it up with facts and figures, even if it bores you. I don't care that you don't care that I think its crap either, so don't try to play on my conscience about it. And I don't care if you think I'm crazy either. From what I have seen, most everyone in sociology is a bit crazy, I feel right at home there.

Watch these little movies I made :) .. ..

Some pictures of me and people I love. Now that you know that much about me...I graduated with Distinction from Santa Fe Community College this year and transferred to Colorado State University to finish my Undergraduate work in Sociology. Yes, its a very long way from Florida, yes, the climate is very different. Change is good right? :) I plan to do my graduate work in the Sociology of Environment and Natural Resources at Colorado State University.

I think people dont pay nearly enough attention to what is going on around them. No one takes the time to listen these days...we are all far too busy and have far more important things to think about than something so silly as hearing the life around us that we are enmeshed in... To this end, music is very important to me. If you really want to learn what is within the innermost heart of man (or woman!) listen not just to the sound of the music, pay attention to the lyrics.

Feel free to check out images of my paintings at my photobucket album. There are also some pictures of me, my kids, and Brad there.Clicky!

You are Emma Goldman! You are the mama of
Anarchist/Communist feminism and you inspired
millions to embrace the labor movement. Without
ever directly saying so, you directed efforts
toward saving women and children from
exploitation. Oh yeah, you were also a total
sexpot!
Which Western feminist icon are you?
brought to you by Quizilla
The history of progress is written in the blood of men and women who have dared to espouse an unpopular cause, as, for instance, the black man's right to his body, or woman's right to her soul.

--- Emma Goldman

Rather would I have the love songs of romantic ages, rather Don Juan and Madame Venus, rather an elopement by ladder and rope on a moonlight night, followed by the father's curse, mother's moans, and the moral comments of neighbors, than correctness and propriety measured by yardsticks.
----- Emma Goldman

I do not want people to be very agreeable, as it saves me the trouble of liking them a great deal.
--- Jane Austen

Once in his life, every man is entitled to fall madly in love with a gorgeous redhead.
----- Lucille Ball

Don't spend time beating on a wall, hoping to transform it into a door.

My Interests

I'd like to meet:

People who aren't jackasses. I do like to observe people who are jackasses, so if you see me looking at you, you never can tell if I am looking because I like you, or if I am looking because I think you are a freak. I would also like to meet god, I have a few questions for him/her. Really I like people, but I do think you are all a bunch of crazies.

Also, feel free to send friend requests, but almost everyone on my list are people that I know in real life, dont get offended if I don't accept your requests.

Additionally..unless you are my boyfriend dont send me dirty emails k, I wont answer, I wont IM you and I wont cyber with you.

Have a nice day =)

Finding Peace and Being Still Do not equal happiness

So, as a buddhist I believe that it is our job to help each other along the path, and to spread compassion. Ultimately though, any change or acceptance comes from inside of ourselves. Important to rem...

He may have been crazy but he was a genius too

Max Weber. He was a bit crazy, or so they say. He had a nervous breakdown of sorts and sat in front of a window for 6 years without speaking to anyone. I think that he was terribly disturbed by what h...

My life has led me to chose this as the subject of this weeks blog. We all have things that happen to us in our lives that remain with us long after the event occurred. Sometimes these are good things...
