About Me

I just realized that my profile hasn't been updated in more than a year. Lazy/busy me.
I am a professional, freelance costume designer. Recently graduated from the MFA program at VCU in Richmond. So I'm just starting out in the freelance world and it's scary. Not used to the idea of not having a steady paycheck yet.
I am also a skilled technician. I have worked professionally as both a cutter/draper and a costume crafts artisan. I now utilize these skills as a sort of hobby. I like to play dress up from time to time, and i like to make fun costumes to dress up in. Not in a drag queen way, but in an uber geek way. An ex girlfriend used to say I had a gay job... I'm 31 flavors of straight however. Just a really big geek. Take a look at some of my pics. There's some for fun costumes and for work. You can also see my stuff online at http://www.chrismueller.net
Other tidbits: Hopeless romantic, karaoke crooner, metrosexual (so they say), vodka drinker, tattoo wearer, sci-fi geek, indy film buff, cook, pirate (really, check my pics).
PAY ATTENTION BECAUSE THIS IS IMPORTANT!!! Do not send me a friend request without at least sending me a message first. I am indescriminate about this particular issue. If I haven't ever heard from you or don't personally know you, I WILL DENY YOUR REQUEST. I have better things to do with my time than screen friend requests from budding internet porn queens and garage bands.

So I feel this very large weight lifted.  As of Thursday night, the show I designed costumes for is open, and my job is done.  This has been one of the most stressfull experiences of my life...
