About Me

Born outside of Chicago, grew up outside of Detroit, lived in Ann Arbor and Metro Detroit, hung out in India for a bit, lived in Chicago for 2 years, and now live in DC :) My life consists of 2 things: working and partying. I am passionate about my career and my friends. I hate writing these things. I'm also on friendster and facebook. Trying to keep my pages clean for the kidz!

My Interests

I'd like to meet:

People from my past and present. For the future: playariffic thugtacular peeps living in DC, Chi-town or the D, and anyone else who is mature but likes to party, productive but lazy, stuck in the 80's but not in the fashion sense, spiritual but not brainwashed, liberal but real, and anyone who knows where I can get fake purses or is in one of my groupz

Music:

NELLY, tupac, 50 cent, Kanye, pre-fergie Black Eye Peas, most hip-hop and rap, other pop/mainstream type songs, boy bands like Color Me Badd :), desi music, motown, everything overplayed on the radio from 1984 - 2002... Even though I mostly listen to upbeat songs, anything you can dance too, or anything with lots of bass, other random music I enjoy: yo la tengo, sade, coldplay, non-christy ben harper, eagle eye cherry, the monkees, white boy rocker band anger songs with a hint of pop, and I also LOVE the sound of music and wicked soundtrax

Movies:

I generally like movies that relate to me or excessively make me laugh, cry, learn, or become enraged - for example: People I love were in Poetic Justice, Longest Yard, and Snipes. Important issues were addressed in Green Mile, Hotel Rwanda, Born into Brothels, Philadelphia, and Michael Moore movies. And movies that relate to my life in some way are Dazed and Confused, Napoleon, Veer Zara, Little Princess, and Waynes World

Television:

I loved Deal or No Deal until I tried out and didn't get picked so now I'm kinda mad at them... I watched the last season of Project Runway and loved it - Go Michael!! I love Apprentice but only watched the last 2 seasons. I usually have ER on in the background when doing Thursday laundry because there is a show with an Indian chic on it finally - I don't like any of the other people on it. In the past or if I see reruns on I love: Price is Right, Fresh Prince, Newlyweds, and all the typical growing up in the 80's shows like Punky Brewster, Smurfs, Alf, Growing Pains, Small Wonder, Square One (that's typical right?), Silver Spoons, etc. I'm not one of those people who loves friends, simpsons, or seinfeld, but whenever I turn on the TV at a random hour I sort of hope to find one of those on. I've recently been watching lots of Everybody Loves Raymond - I never knew that show was funny but I like watching it now because it is always on. I also started watching Sex and the City which I used to make fun of people for watching but now since it is on all the time I can't help but watch and I sort of like it. My newfound interest is the Ellen show. I wish I could watch it everyday but instead I have to work :(

Books:

Layout Created at ...net with LIVE preview!!

Heroes:

Anyone who does something about what they believe in, anyone who overcomes obstacles and doesn't feel sorry for themselves, anyone who stands by what they are passionate about, and anyone who isn't afraid to go against the norm for a cause. This does NOT include people who sell out to money or the man. By sell out I don't mean people who work in corporate america but like their job or people who work to make a living. By sell out I mean people whose beliefs and passions are in conflict with their profession :) I respect people who have different views and ways of life than mine much more than I respect those who may have similar views as me but live their life in contradiction
