Jenni Lord, originally from Lubbock, Texas, moved to Austin in June of 2000 at the age of nineteen to pursue her music career. Somehow, in the midst of trying, she went to culinary school and now pays her bills by working as a pastry chef and playing gigs down on 6th Street (Austin). Her passion is still her music and she continues to write, play, and sing that which she loves best.
Unfortunately Jenni lost everything she owned, including her written music, in an apartment fire in March of 2002. Out of the hundreds of songs she wrote she kept only what was in her head and closest to her heart. She just recently finished recording her first album which is a combination of music remembered and music newly written. It is an imperfect, raw and real recording with a few flaws but full of character... in spite of its mistakes, the realness of her passion and pain still shine out!
At the ripe young age of 29, Jenni can only get better with time. The more she lives, feels, breathes and practices, the more she will grow, learn and become.
