MR.BEENZ el FRIJOLERO

Bio:Mr..beenz el frijolero was born on Jan. 14th 1987 at 6am. In a local hospital in Michoacan, (Patzcuaro) his mom gave birth and almost said goodbye to his son due to birth complications. Living in a small town called Santa Clara de Cobre, his parents knew that they had to move and risk everything in order to give their kids a better life. At the age of only 1, young little beenz along side with his older sister where brought to the United States. Brought up in San Fernando Valley, Ca. Beenz had to adapt quick to the street life and get in the state of mind of survival. Watching a music video of rapper Snoop Dog roaming through the streets of L.A., made beenz realize that you can do something good with your life even if you live in the hood. At the age of 7 beenz was already reciting raps and talking like the rappers did. Hanging out with the gang bangers and criminals led his family to make another risky decision and leave everything for the sake that their son would end up killed or locked up like most of his friends. Beenz is his own words stated, “I didn’t know any better. We would fight all the time, we would watch the older guys fight next which usually resulted in shootings and someone getting killed.” In Calaveras County where Beenz went to school at a 95% white school, beenz ended up spending a lot of his time by himself listening to his rap. It wasn’t till the age of 12 when Beenz and his close friends, (Looney then later Equipt) decided to make there own music. It started out as something they would do for fun, every Friday after school. Little by little there love for music grew and Beenz decided to take his music to the next level and got together with Equipt to drop there debut album titled, “First Impression.” Selling it at school and parties was the key money maker for them. “We had a little album release show, where we had about 50 people show up.” Beenz. Beenz knew that if he was going to do more shows he had to entertain the crowd, He knew how boring it was to watch some rapper just stand there during his whole set. Beenz went off and dropped 1st solo album called “Who said I Cant Get Hyphy?” Beenz again hit the streets, parties, schools everywhere he went he carried a backpack full of cds. He used a strategy that he now is known for, “an entertainer, or crowd hype man.” Getting the people all wound up before he would play his cd always worked out. Now at the age of 21 beenz has been all around California opening for well known rappers and singers. He feels that his ability to go anywhere and control the crowd makes him one of the top artists out of his area code 209. He spends most of his time doing shows because he feels that that is his strongest method for getting his music across not only California but also…the world. His ability to be fluent in both Spanish and English has brought Mr.beenz a lot of success. Being able to perform in front of a mixed race is always beenz’s favorite thing to do. “I used to do shows where depending on the location, id be only white and then only mexicans at my shows! That bugged me and I knew I had to make a difference and prove to everyone that black, Mexicans, whites, are all the same.” That is what Mr.beenz has been focusing on eveytime he touches the mic and records another song. He feels that through his music he can change the Spanish rap scene and take it out of what he believes doesn’t get as much respect as it should. With a style of a mix of bay area legend Mac Dre and Texas’s very own living legend Chingo Bling, he feels like he can bring the the music together. He feels that if he gets categorized as a Spanish rapper, everybody will categorize him either as a gang member or chicano rap. With his own company called “Nopal ent,” Beenz is dedicated to spread a message to the world. Mr.Beenz is confident that people will respect his Spanish culture. It is more than music to beenz, he feels that he has to prove to the world that Mexicans are here to better themselves and not to hurt others. Being bilingual is allowing him to communicate with his people and teach them morals and most importantly be a roll model for the youth. His plan of “Nopal Ent” Is to someday be able to hold a tour throughout the United States and Mexico doing a show that would be filled with comedians, magicians, rappers and singers. Being criticized for calling his own people beeners, nopales, wetbacks, etc. is something that he knows he’ll have to deal with throughout his career. “The reason I say those things is to bring comedy and laughter to what most Mexicans feel is a sensitive subject.”[LOVEMYFLASH]
