About Me

Since taking up a professional career in 2002, Lensei has made a name for himself in the music industry. After a brief apprenticeship singing at Gold Coast restaurants and recording a jazz CD, It Had To Be You, he became a freelance songwriter for Sony Music Publishing Japan, debuting on the Japanese market with Rocking Horse, sung by Japanese starlet Mika Nakashima. After this notable success, Lensei elected to finish his education, graduating in 2005 with a Bachelor of Popular Music from the Queensland Conservatorium of Music. He then turned his attention back to Japan, writing Mika Nakashimas 2006 single "CRY NO MORE," and securing a position as an in-house writer for Sony Music. With this new position, Lensei decided to move to Tokyo to pursue his two musical loves writing songs and singing jazz.
Lensei currently sings in a Japanese jazz vocal group called Jammin' Zeb. They have released two albums, "Smile," and "Dream." Check them out here:
