About Me

I live in Edinburgh, where i'm at uni learning how to be a primary school teacher... i don't think I actually want to be one, hopefully I'll work that out some time soon. I live in a flat which is a lot like an ikea showroom but the boys make it messy and the kitchen smells a bit mouldy. I am scared of large numbers of people in one place.I tried to make my myspace pretty but it's just turned into a great big advert. oooooops.

My Interests

I'd like to meet:

Mariah Carey so that I could assassinate her. Can't believe she's brought out a greatest hits.

Music:

I really like lots of different kinds of music, can't be bothered writing alot but some current favourites are Arcade Fire, Massive Attack, Maximo Park, James Brown, The J.B's, Radiohead, Jeff Buckley, Bright Eyes, Johnny Cash, Nina Simone, Portishead, Gil Scott-Heron. You get the idea.

Movies:

I have a love for Disney, i think it's compulsory (compulsary? i can't spell) if you're going to be a teacher. I also love Dirty Dancing, but not grease as some other people who like dirty dancing do. I like films that are funny and quite easy to understand, as i don't like paying attention for a long time. Despite this i like Lord of the Rings. I also like the harry potter films, but the books are better. Narnia was good, but not really like the book at all which was disappointing (i like books) so yeah...i'd like to watch more films but i can never really be bothered.

Television:

I have been watching FAR too much TV recently, and am trying to curb my addiction. I love ER, it's brilliant. Kyle bought me season 2 on DVD!!!!! 22 episodes in a box!! wow. thank you millions. Black Books. Also good old Neighbours, although i haven't watched it in a while and it seems to have gone a bit crazy. I watched Lost, but didn't like it as much as a lot of people did. Family Guy is good, but I watch it more on DVD than on TV... does it still count? I miss Teachers, I like Andrew Lincoln.

Books:

I like to read books but don't really get the chance while i'm at uni cos i feel guilty for not reading books about education. I really liked the Smoke Jumper by Nicholas Evans, Lord of the Rings, Harry Potter, John Grisham books, and in a childish way still love books by Dr Seuss and other books that rhyme! Roald Dahl's Revolting Rhymes is an all time favourite. Just now i'm reading White Teeth by Zadie Smith and mathematics explained for primary teachers... my my my it is fun.
