You only live once but do it right and it's enough

About Me

Crazy busy, but always down for a good time. I gotta keep busy or my brain starts to melt from medical school clutter, and no one wants to clean that up! Right now I'm part way through my third year and doing a fair amount of traveling... Maryland, Virginia, Georgia, San Diego... all in the next year or so. It's an interesting life, but it's nice to finally get into the hospitals and clinics to work with real patients.

My Interests

Outdoors anything: climbing, camping, skiing, wakeboarding. Inside: Movies, sleeping in, eating.I'll try anything once, and assuming it doesn't kill me, I'll probably try it again!

I'd like to meet:

Anyone who wants to say hello! Rock climbers, chefs, kick boxers, movie buffs, medical pre-professionals, military-savvy folks... or anyone with a passing interest in any of the above.

Music:

I used to say anything but country, but that's cause I was a sheep and assumed country was lame. Now I'm enlightened enough to say I like pretty much everything, and tend to dismiss music on a case by case basis. Every artist has their niche.

Movies:

Boondock Saints, Zoolander, They, K-Pax, Monty Python

Television:

House, Scrubs, ER, Gray's Anatomy and of course everyone's favroite: The Simpsons. That's all I have time for in a given week, how sad!

Books:

Dean Koontz, Steven King, Douglas Adams, CS Lewis... lots of things.

Heroes:

Peope driven by their ambitions and convictions, but not blinded by either.

My Blog

Thoughts on the boards, predicted score 190.

I think it's our job as society to band together, find the person responsible for the USMLE Board Exam, and hurt them severly. Can't kill them, that's unethical. But plenty of things in medicine are e...

Impending moves

I'm curious... especially from people who AREN'T at my school, how many of you have been moved around either by choice or by circumstance on a relatively regular basis. I'm looking into my near future...

Happy to be here, proud to serve

I don't even know if there's a point to writing a blog bitching about school right now. 95% of my friends are people from school and are living the dream right along with me. The rest of you... well, ...

Not an energizer bunny...

So you've seen the commercials with the giant pink bunny who keeps going and going and going? I remember those from way back in my childhood growing up, and I thought he was a goner until the recent c...

hmmm...

So as I wander from myspace page to myspace page, I thought occurs to me... Under "people I'd like to meet" half the people put down historical or celebrity types (i.e. Ab Lincoln, Gandhi, William Sha...
