Telefiction has been a band for just 11 months, but they have managed to write, produce and record enough material for 2 albums. Neither of which will ever see the light of day now that they have signed with South Florida Independent label Contempt Records . With Contempt, they are excited to be in the studio recording their unique brand of rock with someone else turning knobs. This will allow the band to focus on their writing and playing as opposed to pushing buttons and de-fragging hard drives.
Not afraid to push the boundaries, the music Telefiction makes ranges from indie rock through dub and on to what could almost be called "pop". No matter what you want to call it, Telefiction always manages to make asses shake. Henri Lemaire, the mad scientist & main songwriter for the band, is able to coax crazy sounds out of a mic, a guitar, some pedals and the sampler he is frequently plugging away at. Backed by Jason Boynton (Bass) & Patrick Boggs (Drums) the band creates a sound that is modern and urban, featuring samples and unnatural sounds layered over rock steady bass and drum grooves.
