I'd like to meet:
Ramones Every punk should know who the Ramones are. They are the ones who started it all. Many say it was the Sex Pistols. The Ramones consist of Joey - vocals which passed away of lymphatic cancer in 2001, Johnny Ramone - guitars, Dee Dee Ramone - bass, vocals, Tommy Ramone - drums, C.J. Ramone - bass, vocals, Marky Ramone - drums. The members that have the same job as other members, are people who filled in when someone got kicked out. The have a total of 18 albums and 5 compilation albums. Sex Pistols The Sex Pistols were a driving force in the England punk scene. The band members are: Johnny Rotten- vocals, Steve Jones- guitar, Paul Cook- drums, Glen Matlock- bass. They have 3 albums total, but there last album, "The Great Rock N' Roll Swindle" does not have Johnny Rotten on it, because durring thier short U.S. tour he left the band. The Vandals The Vandals are an awesome band, that put on a great stage show. The band members are: David Quackenbus - vocals, Joe Escalante - bass, Warren Fitzgerald - guitar, Josh Freese - drums. These guys have 11 ablums altogether, each one sounding different, and I think it sounds all good. Not to mention they are really nice guys, they are really fun to talk to. Crimes Of The Conspiracy These guys are from Minot ND, and are great. Theres XB.J. MooreX (guitar & vocals) whos a great guy, Tah Lawson (drums) whos a great girl, and Trent Langill (bass & vocals) whos also a great guy. They play hardcore punk, and have two cds out, but to get the cds you have to buy them at one of the shows. XB.J.X is the owner of the liberty and that is where all the shows happen in Minot. With almost any show that XB.J.X books Crimes will play. To find out more here is there website. http://www.angelfire.com/punk/saccharinecrash/cotc.html These are just a very few bands that I like, there are tons more but it would take me awhile to write stuff about each one and I dont have that kind of time. Emo/Pop-punk Emo which stands for emotional, and pop punk are some of the more mellow types of "punk". Emo itself is pretty much punk but most of the time the singer is singing about losing his girlfriend and he's whinning about that sort of thing. Most emo is crap I think but there are a few good emo bands, such as Alkaline Trio, and The Get Up Kids. Pop punk is bands like Blink 182, New Found Glory, Sum 41, and Alien Ant Farm. Pop punk for the most part is the stuff labels can manufacture and gain lots of profit off of. But a lot of times it is pop punk that gets kids into some really good punk music.
