I am here for Friends and Networking

About Me

I've lived in several different states including a stint in Alaska for about 7 years. I went nuts in New Orleans, lost my way in California, and decided to retire from the road in Arizona after touring the US, parts of Japan, Mexico and Canada as a professional dancer. Arizona was too hot so I returned to my home state of Washington to settle down with a "normal" career in real estate. And immediatley became bored with the mundane task of being "normal". Thankfully, in January of 2002 we met a really great group of guys-Vendetta Red and invited them to come to our small town of Puyallup, WA to play in our garage for a belated birthday celebration for my daughter Triva. To my surprise they accepted and night became an opportunity to connect with my daughter through music (she's an amazing guitar player herself). In 2003 a friend of my daughters ended his life and I did not know how to deal with her grief so Triva (thats my daughter), my friend Misty and I got together to produce our first all-ages rock show in Puyallup as PlatApus (the second A is supposed to be an anarchy symbol but my html skills are not that good) Productions and dedicated the whole night to Triva's friend who had killed himself. My son, who was living in LA at the time, flew in to help out and we pulled together to stumble through the planning. Our first show brought hundreds of people! Over the last couple years we've had some really great shows including such bands as: Vendetta Red, Instant Winner, The Jet City Fix, Kane Hodder, Schoolyard Heroes, Real Life Trauma, Muzzle, Pris, Atalanta, Buckwildz, The Beautiful Mothers, Crossbones, The Divorce, Last Great Liar, Go Ahead and many more. Vendetta Red/Kane Hodder returned to us in April of 2004 to help raise money for the prevention and awareness of Youth Suicide. All proceeds raised were donated to Youth Suicide Prevention Of Washington-an excellent resource for information and training on the subject. Both bands returned once again in November of 2004 to play Triva's 18th birthday party produced by PlatApus, hosted by Hell's Kitchen, and sponsored by KGRG 89.9. Married to a fabulous man who plays the drums for my favorite band of all time, The Beautiful Mothers & makes me laugh because he is a very funny stand up comedian, working full-time, adopting & caring for our youngest, and planning do something remarkable doesn't leave me a lot of time so I only produce shows for causes that are so important to me....But I do love to hear new music and stay connected with what's happening, so if you're coming through town, let me know and I'll do my best to check your band out....

Being Unreasonable

My new motto for life. Why put a reason why you can't in front of something you'd like to do?

Musician Snobs

I find musicians who pick on other musicians to be annoying. There are people who play who aren't great at their instrument but I think anyone who is trying to live their dream is an inspira...
