I am a puzzle even to myself. Many have tried to peg me down and classify me over the years, only to be surprised when I didn't quite fit their mold or their perceptions. What can I say? I'm schizophrenically complex.
Though others of my generation have calmed down in their old age, my continuing years spent on this planet have only encouraged me more and more to fuck shit up.
I refuse to buy in and sell out to the illusions of security and happiness that many of my once peers have found so easy to do.
I refuse to take the easy road, the straight and narrow, my own personal American Dream is complex and filled with obstacles, and I would have it no other way.
In my time I have been called a priest, a philosopher, an actor, an angel (but never a saint), a director, a writer, a storyteller, a pirate, a drunk, a poet...
Other times I've been called a prick, an insensitive bastard, a monster, the devil and a disease.
Not to mention being called the best friend in the world to some, a muse to others, an inspiration, a portrait of dedication, and a loyal friend...
Others have labelled me as the worst enemy they've ever had, petty and spiteful, overdramatic, a slacker...
I could go on, but you get the point. I have been all these things, though none of them paint the full picture.
Socially liberal, fiscally moderate...the sworn enemy of the Christian Right and all those who would pervert the word of God to control the will of others.
Perhaps if you combined all of these things together...you might get a glimpse of the real me...or else be left even more confused than when your started...
