Reading, re-enactments, playing (but never sleeping) outside, asking questions, silently judging then judging myself for doing so, trivia, food (cooking and eating), stirring the pot, causing a ruckus, Socialism, my friends, my family, nature, crossword puzzles, infomercials, interviewing people, music, family histories (not mine), coffee, arguing.
David Sedaris, Ghandi, Nelson Mandela, Thurgood Marshall, people who are related to me (biologically OR spiritually), and anybody who wants to play some Scrabble.
Absolutely. Kind of everything- r&b, rap, jazz, jam, blues, old stuff, new stuff, etc. Specific favorites include Louis Armstrong, Kanye West, Eminem, Phish, SCI, Ella, Billie, Bill Withers, Vance Gilbert, Beastie Boys, Radiohead, Cher, Norah Jones, Ray LaMontagne, Rusted Root, The Mamas and the Papas, Johnny Cash...This list is really going to be quite long. Also, I'm very open to suggestions, so please send some my way.
Oh, I'm pro. But I'm pretty picky.
Sure! But you know what? I kind of hate reality television. I never had cable so I don't understand any of that Real World stuff/references. So I'm bad at that category in Pop Culture Trivial Pursuit. I've seen enough Daily Show to know that the only celebrity I would ever really throw myself at is Jon Stewart. And how! I like roundtable discussion shows. I really like The Office (both versions), Arrested Development (don't leave us!), and the infomercials for the knives but not for the "flavor injector," because that is disgusting. I'm sure there is more to list- but honestly, who wants to read it? I'm already bored.
Oh, yes please.
My mom, Eleanor Roosevelt, Bishop Desmond Tutu, Margaret Sanger, Cesar Chavez, Emma Goldman, St. Francis of Assisi, and Batman.
