About Me

This runs the gamit...I'd had the good fortune and experience to try a lot of things. Seems every year I find something new to learn and indulge in. I've been a fireman, a DJ, a book reviewer, a computer geek (ok..so I'm still that), sold wine, learned how to skydive, lived in England for year, but missed ice in my drinks! I've been collecting wine since my 20's....so one drinks poorly at my house! I love to cook often ...better than most women I've known. I have a Harley-Davidson Heritage Springer and cruised most of the West Coast, but don't ride much any more, since I've been learning how to fly the last couple of years, which can be pretty consuming. I have two Beagle's, Shaffer and Violet, who are the Queen's of my household. I'm a little particular about the company I keep...I have a close circle of friends, but I enjoy getting to know folks who run against the common grain. Unlike most men, I really like to shop and have been fortunante to have dated several women in my life with a great sense of style, so I've come to appreciate good clothing, shoes, etc. I've sailed a sloop around Florida, rapeled down cliffs in Arizona, played volleyball for Club Sportwear for two years, own a good collection of Jonny Quest memorabila and seen 45 of the 50 states.

My Interests

Music:

I'm all over the map...I dig the genre of "eclectic" music ala' KCRW. Frou Frou, Zero 7, Groove Armada, Bent, Cafe Del Mar, Crystal Method, Hybrid, Weekend Players, Telepopmuisk...love Chill and House...you get the idea.

Television:

Don't watch much TV...but I'm glued to reality TV on Thursday's..Survivor, The Apprentice, plus Will and Grace, Scrubs, Six Feet Under.

Books:

My library is pretty huge. I keep every book I ever bought. I started out as a kid reading every spy/adventure novel I could get my hands on. Sprinkel in history, especially Victorian and WWII. I tried some biographies, but today's "important" figures just seem to bland to be interesting. I still prefer novels, however, lately the fantasy/SciFi stuff is where I tend to go these days. All the long multi-volume series...Robert Jordan, Tad Williams, Stephen Donaldson, Steven King (Gunslinger series) Dave Eddings, Raymond Feist.
