About Me

My father was the best drummer that never was. He just had an innate understanding for rhythm and could make any surface the perfect percussion section for any song. When I was small and unable to sleep for fear of the dark, Dad would lay me up on his chest and pitter patter soft rhythmic patterns on my back and chest till I fell asleep. It's no wonder I'm a drummer today. I'm the drummer and founding member of the metal band This Machine (www.thismachine.net and www.myspace.com/thismachineband). I am also part of, have played with or, filled in for a few other bands/projects such as Tempal, Punchin' Judy, Ziklag Chace, Sweet Cicada (music by Ziklag Chases' and Sweet Cicada's Dan Lively @ www.myspace.com/hypnogog & www.myspace.com/sweetcicada), Outshined (www.myspace.com/outshined), Dragg Nun (www.myspace.com/dragnun), as well as a founding member of Blitzkid (www.myspace.com/blitzkid). This profile is a reflective memoir of my performances with some of the bands and artists that I have worked with over the years as well as an ongoing journal of my current drumming ventures and endeavors behind the kit that are yet to come. Many of the recordings I intend on posting are not the best in sound quality and some of them were recorded over ten years ago so I reserve the right to be overly critical of the drumming skills of my yesteryears. Sadly, some of the work Ive done with some bands only exist in photographs and in memory. I play Tama Starclassic drums with Tama hardware and DW 5000 dbl pedals. I also use Paiste cymbals, Promark sticks and, Remo drumheads. Now and then I tend to pull my circa 1992 Tama Rockstar DX kit out to knock off the dust. Those drums still kick ass. Anyway, Ill be adding more pics and songs periodically. I hope you enjoy. All comments, suggestions, snide remarks and, slanderous ridicules are welcome.
