About Me

Psychic Attack of the Psyduck is a solo project of Eric August. The music is created mostly through sampling to create an ambient trip-hop/electronica vibe not unlike artists such as DJ Shadow, Four Tet, or Boards of Canada. One album has been released so far entitled "He Has Deceived Us All" released in late 2006 as a free download. The album features a diverse range of sounds, ranging from down-tempo trip-hop, breakbeat drum and bass, dancey electronica, noise, all with a touch of psychic ambiance. All the track names are references to the video game/card game/t.v show Pokemon with several of the songs featuring samples from the show, but are mostly used to enhance the song and create an overall cohesiveness to the album, and not simply as a gimmick.
A new album was released as a free download (with limited run physical copies on the way) in May of 2008. The songs feature a larger influence of ambient music than the first album, and a more focused, mature approach to electronic music.
