Maybe you were a different nationality, a different gender, maybe you were tall, big, small, skinny, either way you just didn’t fit. How did you feel? What were you thinking? Did you want to leave, runaway or just assimilate? Maybe you just realized that you can be nothing but yourself and represent who you are! Growing up in the projects breeds two types of people: Survivors and Victims. Nite was a victim of circumstance. Nite was born a preemie baby who later developed quickly for her age in size and weight. She became the center of jokes and ridicule. Always a navigator of her fate, Nite used her size to her advantage being named Big Momma Drama, who created intimidating and comical rhymes about her weight while battling opponents. After labels told Nite that she would have to be a carbon copy of a video vixen in size and subject matter, Nite decided to follow in the steps of Annie Defranco, who is an artist that stayed independent, and made the world take notice to her talent. Nite decided to continue to release independent music putting her all into her music. NIte auditioned for MTV MC BATTLE and was the only female out of 1000 to proceed to the final Live MTV Battle. Nite was disqualified for using profanity in the heat of the battle, but instantly became a crowd favorite. MTV invited her back the following Monday for a TRL taping and gave her a live interview. The following week MTV sent a car for Nite to open up the season for Direct Effect with Ludacris, LaLa, and Clue. NIte has been staying busy doing college tours, shows, and her specialty, BATTLES. Nite, a preemie baby, a girl who was ridiculed growing up for being too dark and too big, a girl that grew up in the projects of East Orange, New Jersey, brands herself not only as a survivor but as an inspiration to all unfortunates or societies misfits, to live with the belief that IF YOU WANT IT, GO AFTER IT AND HAVE NO EXCUSES!!!!
