About Me

.. This isn't a get to know everyone in my family site, so, about ME: A male of mixed decent, euro native american mix, possibly alien. I'm nonconformist, optimistic, underground, yeh I am old dude 30+ but my friends are okay with that. I like good coffee in the morning. I like a good ale -- it's a lovely time for a Guinness! There is no strong beer, only weak men. I like gadgets.. not really into watching TV or memorizing the stats of some millionaire whacking a ball. My political view is Geniocratic: You have to be intellegent to vote. I believe god as an all-encompassing life-source, deity is not personified into a person, sex, race, geographical area or religion, and should be kept separate from politics. I love my job, my classic Mini and new MINI cars, house, it's all good. What else do people want to know? I'm open, go ahead and ask. I don't care what people think as long as it's interesting. peace!
StarLord's Interests: MINIs, Minis, did I mention Minis? Yeah, ok then. There's that, and stuff like taking pictures, travel, going for a drive, chillin with friends, work, doing computer graphics/webs/whatever, and I do some music on the side.. Not much into clubbin but I like to have fun, play board games, xbox, eat good food, contemplate art, listen to people, learn about stuff, be positive, etc. I also produce a podcast and blog junk, but you probably knew that.
Whom I'd like to meet: I'd like to meet open-minded, uninhibited people who enjoy life, can teach me new appreciations or adventure things I wouldn't otherwise try. I like people who are like me, not afraid to be geeky, sexy, or themselves. Probably have over fascination with japanese women, well, most anything asian, scottish, british or irish in general. Must be a past life thing. Go figure. I'd also like to meet more MINI/Mini enthusiasts to cruise on twisty roads with. Anyway, just random thoughts.

My Interests

Music:

Band Website: http://starlord.net - always under construction!
Band Members: Sure. I've been in bands or groups, but majority of my stuff it's solo. It's not that I am full of myself or ego arrogant, really..I'm more so a studio musician than someone you would see on tour or in a club. I compose for TV and film, effects, video games. Have come out with a number of albums (all independant or local compo labels). I like to collab with other artists so often you will find some cool people featured on my tracks or albums!
Influences: All kinds, serious. If it has a groove with a good vibe.. except probably redneck country, religious wannabe junk and gangsta rap, what's up with all this hater music anyway?

Movies: Italian Job (both!), Matrix (uh..), Starwars, Star Trek, Fantasy/Adventure types.. Most anime (otaku-san!) I do try to avoid chick flicks but I'll watch them under the right conditions, or, uh, rewards..

Television: BBC, DIY, SciFi, Science, used to watch TechTV but it sux now. I also like Speed, Fuel, NGC, Discovery, mostly anything non-mainstream TV. If the media is controlled by a particular sector of the government (e.g. Fox), there is a good chance I wont be listening or watching it. I want an entire-world view, not a sugar-coated fantasy seen through self-imposed blinders, whose target audience is the gullible minority of the populous.

Books: Neuromancer, Good to great, Bhagavad Gita, Lotus Sutra, Phillip Pulman (Golden Compass), Mystery novels like Ian Flemming or Mrs. Pollifax; I dont read many books per se, I read news online (slashdot, fark, onion, do it your self RSS feeds, whatever)

Heroes: Mostly comic book or media heroes, hence the name StarLord. Most of the heroes I had as a kid, including most of the people I hung out with during high school, aren't people I'd want to party with today. I did enjoy every girlfriend I ever had though, whether it was purely platonic or we banged the shit out of each other (online, on the phone, or in person), ahh the fond memories. Ok that was a bit TMI.

Life is short, enjoy it now or regret never having it later.
Sounds Like: Sounds like.. uh... wow that's a good one. Really depends on what tune or album you are listening to. People have said I sound like a number of artists of the new age, soundtrack, down tempo, techno, rock, pop, hiphop, jazz, classical, whatever... This is what people have said.. not sure I agree totally but they said I sound like: Vangelis, Kitaro, Phillip Glass, Depeche Mode, Kraftwerk, Maxx, Scorpions, Van Halen, Ice Cube, Joshua Redman, David Arkenstone, Enigma, Tim Reynolds, John Williams, Chris Ballew, Yes, Bach, Mozart, Sting, St.Germain, Moses, Synergy, Astral Projection, Crystal Method, can you see where I am going with this? Genre-free, all over the board music. Synth Ambient Non-mainstream Electronica (SANE). Old school, Narada artists, Instrumentalists, Experimental College Punky Funky sort of music.. Industrial.. Deep, dark, spacey, whatever.. I'll stop now.
Record Label: SoundClick, JSP Compo, SDF Compo, Indie, Self..
Type of Label: Indie
