My Interests

Okay - having your heart broken is not an interest, but what a beautiful statement: As we grow up, we learn that even the one person that wasn't supposed to ever let you down probably will. You will have your heart broken probably more than once and it's harder every time. You'll break hearts too, so remember how it felt when yours was broken. You'll fight with your best friend. You'll blame a new love for things an old one did. You'll cry because time is passing too fast, and you'll eventually lose someone you love. So take too many pictures, laugh too much, and love like you've never been hurt because every sixty seconds you spend upset is a minute of happiness you'll never get back. Don't be afraid that your life will end, be afraid that it will never begin.

I'd like to meet:

Jerry Lewis for all that he has done to raise money and awareness for Muscular Dystrophy. Also, I would love to someday meet the person that eventually finds a cure for this disease!

Music:

Oh man - just about anything as long as you can understand the words, but my fave will always be the old southern rock or country!

Movies:

Favorites of all - the MDA camp videos that Corey does such an awesome job on every year. I show them over and over to family and friends. Also, Ridings brought a video to camp this year called 'Darius goes West' that was awesome - definitely worth buying online and watching. I will watch any movie that won't scare the B'Jesus out of me - other than that, I am pretty easy to please! When I get into a funk, Pretty Woman works everytime - maybe I am still looking for the Fairy Tale!

Television:

Okay - I admit it - I do watch Survivor and American Idol - but I like things like National Geographic, etc. Love Law and Order SVU. Also a total news junkie!

Books:

I love to read and I will read just about anything. Especially like the who done it suspense type stuff. Also like the mushy, feel good stuff that will make you cry, just not too often or I will turn into one great big puddle. Also like the legal thrillers.

Heroes:

Up until a few years ago, my sole hero has always been my daddy. In the summer of 2005, I met a bunch of kids with Muscular Dystrophy at MDA camp and they have totally taken complete control of my heart. Their perseverence along with the wonderful attitude with which they face each and every challenge have made them my new heroes, along with all of my friends at camp that give of their time, energy and money to help ensure that these kids have a wonderful week out of the year. I LOVE YOU ALL!!!!!!!!!!!! Thanks for allowing me the distinct honor and privilege of being part of the MDA family.
