On "Decayed, Rebuilt", Per Holmström reveals a much harder edge with straight EBM tracks like ‘Bounty Hunter"
or yet "Bloodlines". He also explores more icy territories on the dark low tempo and KLINIK-al "Nothing Remains" to eventually close the
album with the bombastic Swedish song, "Din Värld". Add to this some remarkable guest vocal contributions including a splendid duet
with I:SCINTILLA"s lead singer Brittany Bindrim on the trancey and very expressive "This Above All", some harder punkish chaotic backings
from Chris Koch of CRISK on "Nothing But A Heartbeat" and harsher dual vocals from Len Lemeire (IMPLANT) who added some venom on "Confession"
and especially on the instant club hit "Black Angel".

Biography:
It is in the late 90s that the Mind:state project was initiated by a talented young student from Uppsala - Sweden. Finding his deepest inspiration in the euphoric dark melodies and lyrical depth of metal bands like Tiamat and Darkseed, Per Holmström was actually raised on the electro/industrial music from bands like KMFDM and other Front 242.
In 2002, Mind:state released his first demo (only available for download from the webside) entitled "Forward". The sound was rough and simple.
In 2003 the second demo, entitled "Cleansing" was released. This demo featured the song 'Mother, father' which drew attention to the name Mind:state. And it was at this point that Mind:state started to get an audience for the first time.
These demos were followed by a third demo "False", that later became popular in the USA. With the release of this demo, in 2004, Mind:state took his first steps on the live scene in Sweden.
One year later, in 2005, Mind:state was signed to Alfa Matrix. This was followed by a feature on two compilations, Cyberl@b 5.0 and Cryonica Tanz v4.
The live crew that has followed Mind:state has been ever changing, but with the signing to Alfa Matrix, the project has finally got it's feet on the ground, and now the crew is complete. With Marcus Liverholm on keys and Mathias Fogelström on drums, the live act is more alive than ever before.
Mind:state now teamed up with Belgian producer Len Lemeire (Anne Clark, Implant, Unter Null, etc.) and is currently in studio meticulously recording his debut album entitled Decayed, Rebuilt due to be released on Alfa Matrix in 2006.
Fans of soulful melodic electronics will not resist to the shimmering darkness of Mind:state's songs. For the sake of comparisons, they are akin to Assemblage 23, VNV Nation, Angels & Agony, etc.
