The Baja Bugs

About Me

The Baja Bugs are a Beatles' COVER band, NOT a tribute band. The Baja Bugs have been kicking around for 3 or 4 years. The band has been featured at the annual Beatles' convention, organized by the San Diego Beatles' fan club " Come Together" for the last 3 years! The band has also performed at the Pasadena Civic Center, for the Los Angeles Beatles convention as well! Also the annual Adams Street Fair in San Diego, the Poway Center for the Arts, The Club au Go-Go in Hollywood, as well as the Rainbow. It all started w/ a friends' wedding. The friend wanted to hire a Beatles' tribute band to play at his wedding party, but could not afford to pay the performance fee. And that's how the Baja Bugs became a band. The Baja Bugs don't focus on the "Beatles' hits" too much. There are too many tribute bands playing " I wanna Hold Your Hand " already. The band prefers to focus on the manic rock n' roll side of the Beatles repertoire and career. The wild Hamburg / Cavern period, right before the Beatles became a sensation around the world. Needless to say , it's great music to listen to, and dance to. But the greatest thing about it, is playing it
