Boxcar Preachers

About Me

Saving your soul one pint at a time, the Boxcar Preachers are known for stradling the fence between Saturday night drinkin' and Sunday mornin' goin' to church. We started up about 9 years ago in Austin, TX and continue to have fun doin' what we do which boils down to a guys night out once a week (some call it band practice) and playing our favorite venues around town and elsewhere. Our music hits alot of gray areas. We're a little bit of bluegrass, country, blues, jazz, jug band and some old time gospel. The main thing that we've noticed is that we all have lots of fun when we play together. Our primary hope is that the fun transfers over to the audience. So, with that in mind..... come out and have some fun with us sometime! You can catch us around town at both Central Market locations, Flipnotic's, Threadgill's, Hill's Cafe and other fine Austin establishments. We have two releases. Spindle Top Strike was our first one a couple of years ago and Auto Body Experience was just released for 2006. You can find us at iTunes, Starbucks locations and at http://www.boxcarpreachers.comY'all come back now. Ya hear?
