I'm just past 50, no children, African American, and I'm writing a MySpace profile. Shouldn't I be married with kids?
I work for a non-profit handling the technology and I think I'm pretty good at it. It's my second career, my first was in the restaurant industry where I spent 25+ years teaching people how to flip burgers and run a restaurant.
I read everything I can get my hands on and I'm filled with useless knowledge that usually does me little good unless I can finally get on Jeopardy! I surf the Net aimlessly for hours and write software at odd hours. I never sleep enough, watch old movies endlessly, follow the Mets and the Jets and I'm building a model railroad in a spare bedroom.
I like to cook, hate laundry and live in a big apartment that is way too cluttered. I'm sometimes arrogant, sometimes funny, always loyal to my friends, I say things I shouldn't at times, make a really good lasagna and a killer pecan pie.
