William Street, aka Daylight Robber, began mixing as early as 96, but at that it time it was mostly Ambient/Noise mixtapes for himself. In 98, he moved to Chicago and started buying a large quantity of Jungle/Drum&Bass records with no intention of DJing. He'd become friends with a DJ, who became his roommate, and he finally decided to try and mix and pretty much fell in love with it, eventually also spinning roots and dub Reggae as Daylight Robber Soundsystem and Electro/House/Industrial as Phazorslut.
In 2002, he moved back to his native Kansas City and, apart from promoting the Bassline Pressure night/events with partner Spiderbigger and posting various mixes online, has been concentrating on working on his own tracks, as well as working at Zebedee's RPM and doing a freeform podcast called Centerpunch Radio.
