ADAM J. WAGENER WAS BORN IN HOLLYWOOD on June 12th 1978, his mother is a nurse and his father a real estate agent. No stranger to the camera, Adam has been on tape since he was very young. Even as a newborn baby, his parents booked him his first job.
ADAM'S FAMILY MOVED TO SANTA MARIA when Adam was five. For most of his youth, Adam grew up on the central coast of California. He attended a Catholic high school, and was a member of the chess club, the national honor society, the yearbook staff, and the swim team.
HE GRADUATED FROM WESTMONT COLLEGE in Santa Barbara, attaining a degree in Communication Studies. He travelled overseas to teach English and began his career in acting for the camera and filmmaking
WHILE IN KOREA, A FRIEND ENCOURAGED HIM to visit a casting agency. Walking in the door, Adam said, "I want to be an actor," and the casting director said "Ok, you work tomorrow." Adam then got an background speaking role in a nationally televised (South Korea) docu-drama about opera singer Shin Young Ok.
HE TOOK BASIC ACTOR TRAINING with instructor Rick Mokler at Santa Barbara City College, acting classes at Allan Hancock College, and auditioned for the Pacific coast Center for the Performing Arts (PCPA). He was selected to play a date-rapist on trial at Westmont College for a Date Rape Awareness Week one-act. He also sang and danced in "Spring Sing" musicals at Westmont.
ADAM LEARNED TELEVISION SHOW PRODUCTION on his father's show, On Second Thought , at the Lompoc and Santa Maria public access studios. In 2004, Adam started his own show. The Adam Bomb Show started airing to 50,000 viewers in the 805 area, then spread onto Reno, Nevada.IN 2006, THE ADAM BOMB SHOW changed it's name to "Adam Bomb Live" and aired 24 live episodes under the direction of T. Anthony Moore and Brett Poquette of Rapscallion Films, LLC. The crew included Amanda Szymzcak, Gwyn Mason, Alisha Reinhart, Jimmy Knowlton, Shanti Whitney, Rex Lee of Made Man Productions, Becky Wagener, Oscar Castro, and Art Guerrero.
OUT OF THE COMRADERIE BUILT ON THE SHOW, and using actual footage from the live show, the crew created the independent film, "TV: The Movie" (2008), directed by Moore, starring members of the crew. Adam has worked in the film industry as a background extra, production assistant, and is learning about all aspects of film-making, including digital media.
