Tomo Milicevic

Tomislav "Tomo" Milicevic(born September 3, 1979, Sarajevo Bosnia and Herzegovina), the younger brother of model Ivana Miličević, is currently the lead guitarist in the L.A.-based alternative rock band 30 Seconds to Mars . He is an ethnic Bosnian Croat. Tomo practiced to become a concert violinist; he started to play when he was 3 years old until he turned 19. Then he discovered heavy metal. He told his dad that he wanted to play the guitar, so Tomo and his father made one. His uncle, Zeljko "Bill" Miličević, is a virtuoso violinist and orchestra teacher in the Detroit area. Tomo has been playing guitar professionally for years. He started writing his own music by the age of 17.

~His favorite song is Take on Me by a-ha.
~ He is left-handed, but plays guitar right-handed.
~Attended Athens High School in Troy, Michigan.
~Besides his sister Ivana, he also has a brother named Filip.
~Is a certified executive chef and pastry chef. Despite this fact he has never cooked for his bandmates.
~He says that the first concert he attended was Nirvana but he has since said in interviews that is "truthfully not true...I think it was Paula Abdul and In Living Color"

30 Seconds to Mars

30 Seconds to Mars (or Thirty Seconds to Mars) is a rock band from Los Angeles, California, featuring actor Jared Leto as the lead vocalist, guitarist & songwriter.
Created in 1998 by Jared Leto and his brother, Shannon, 30 Seconds to Mars began as a small family project. Things began to speed up quickly, and Matt Wachter later joined the band as bassist and keyboard player. After working with small revolving door of guitarists (as the band's first two guitarists, Kevin Drake and Solon Bixler, left the band due to issues primarily related to touring), the three auditioned Tomo Miličević to round out the band's roster.
The band's debut album 30 Seconds to Mars, produced by Bob Ezrin, was released in 2002 to mixed reviews and achieved sales of just over 100,000. Their sophomore album, A Beautiful Lie, was released on August 30, 2005. For this effort, the band traveled (during the course of three years) to four continents, to perfect their sound and also to allow for Jared's film career. The album was produced by Josh Abraham, whose producing credits also include Orgy, Velvet Revolver, and Linkin Park.
