Abandon All Hope, Ye Who Enter Here

About Me

Well, my name is Dustin.
I'm usually very quiet unless I know you pretty well. I'm not what you'd call a very social person. In fact, there are a lot of people I won't even try to get along with simply because of how they dress or the people they surround themselves with. It isn't a good thing, I know, but it is who I am. Most of the people who are my friends became such because of early childhood relationships (Andrew, Dave, 2) or just plain chance (Arik, Randy).
I like to write. I write novels, or at least that's what I perfer to write. I've only written one book, but I like the book, even if the writing was very immature. I'm trying to rewrite that, so we'll see how that goes (I've been trying for years). I also design video games, which are usually my main priority. I take pride in my work.
I really like people who are real; people who don't pretend to be someone else, people who don't conform so that people will like them. I don't like people who pretend (or actually are) gangsta's [sic]. I don't like those who claim to be "gothic"; they claim to be a tortured artist. Do you know what they really are? Pathetic. Anyone can be an artist in their own way, to claim that you are somehow better than others because you think your life has been harder than most, is simply rediculous. Everyone's life has ups and downs, that's just how it works. I don't like the Anime kids, because it seems like cartoons are the only thing that exists for them. I like some anime (DB/Z/GT and Bastard!! are the only two, actually), but I realize that my life doesn't take place in those worlds. I don't like people who sleep around; get some self respect and self control. I don't like people who encourage others to do things that are wrong (do drugs, steal things, murder their parents). 'You know who I like? Nerds. Some of them might be annoying, but at least they don't try to pretend like they are someone else, or take interest in things that they really care about. They like Star Wars and computers. Do you want to know why? 'Cause Star Wars and computers are cool to them, and they aren't going to try to pretend like they don't like them so that others will accept them. I like Evil Dead, I like DBZ, I like Star Wars (but I hate computers), I like Zombie movies, I like video games, I like almost all genres of music related to rock (modern rock, classic rock, punk, metal, alternative, industrial, not emo). I like a lot of random stuff. I like the Lord of the Rings movies, but not the books. I like vandalizing things in strange ways (not to hurt people, just to make them think "What the Hell?"). I won't deny ever pretending that I was a robot when I was younger. I like the color silver, though I hate gold. I dislike the phone. I hate Julia Roberts. I hate it when people (usually girls) use size 1 font for everything. I hate it when people post bulletins on Myspace that say nothing more than "Arrg, I'm so mad. Someone ask me why!". I hate the War on Drugs, the War on Terror, and the War for Oil. All of them are pointless. With all the money we've spent fighting drugs, we could have just bought out the cartels. Hate breeds hate, if we fight terrorism, and kill every single terrorist, their kids are just going to bomb the Hell out of us in a few years. There are other energy sources besides oil, let's see how well they work for a change, huh? The month of February pisses me off. People who are obsessed with pirates need to shut up, unless they also like theives, rapists, and murderers. I'm not a big fan of loud noises, but I like my music loud (just for me, not so loud to annoy those around me). People who say "I have OCD" annoy me, because as I've recently learned, if someone really has Obsessive Compulsive Disorder, then they aren't going to tell everyone they know, they're going to keep it to themselves, but it isn't a fun thing to have or something they want to show off. People who claim to have OCD just typically want to make it seem like they are different than others, somehow, and end up just making themselves look annoying.
I may seem like I hate everything and that I'm just a very negative person, but I'm actually surprisingly positive. I enjoy life, and I like to make the most of it.
If you want to know anything else about me, or if you want to get to know me, my screen name (for AIM) is Distom. Or you can just send me a message on here.
