About Me

"I have never let my schooling interfere with my education."-Mark TwainI'm not interested in gold mines, oil wells, shipping or real estate. I am interested in things and stuff. T&S. I have faith in ONLY hope. I find everything absurd. I believe the only thing absolute in life is the Periodic Table of Elements. Juxtaposition is my favorite word. I am a walking contradiction. But hey, some are born to sweet delight , and some are born to endless night. Don't know that I'll ever find that happy medium that Aristotle referred to (the golden mean) but, by the beard of Zeus, I'll carry on the pursuit of areté until I A)die or B)acquire it. I pretend that I am living within the script of a movie and all the people I meet are actors within. I am a red cowboy boot wearin' country girl whom aspires to live deep in the woods to get away from distractions of city life.I like: mon chats, taking naps to the sound of summer rain, Saturday afternoon opera on NPR, taking long drives down country roads, walking down Main Street at night while listening to Schubert, reading underneath a tree, the way trees look in the winter and in autumn, the beach, botany, thinking, reciprocation. My eventual goal is to : through experimentation devolve back to the neanderthalic state of human origin, like the guy in Altered States. Everyone is so worried about evolving to the next plane of their lives, when the real magic lies in the dawn of man. I say !DEVOLVE! not evolve. Back to the chaotic mass that we all once were. The Problem: To be or not to be...and the poison apple (or pomagranite seed, whichever mythology floats your boat)I edited my profile at Doobix.com

My Interests

"The only thing that exists are atoms and empty space. Everything else is opinion"-Democritus. Here are things I have opinions on: The periodic table of elements, a werewolf's tailor, horror films, quantum physics, lycanthrope, android epistomology, life, death, and all the in between, aesthetically pleasing people, places and things, people who use drugs as an artistic endeavor, finding the pieces to the puzzle and learning through a process of trial and error that sometimes they just don't fit, good music, cause and effect, Duality and oppositon, materialist reduction of the mind/body problem, determinism, the power that lies in three chords, freewill, Horror culture (not to be confused with horticulture), The chemical composition of David Lynch's brain, Murphy's Law (The scientific theory, NOT the band), Natural Selection, Blackholes, Existentialism, Law of Thermodynamics, adjectives, the layers of hell, manipulating the order in disorder, Lord Byron and his debauched drug parties, Styx (the river, NOT the band), The Interzone, Being and Nothingness (the concept, not Sartre's book), the infinite abyss..(don't stare too hard), Filling the void completely and thoroughly and not just distracting myself with tomfoolery

I'd like to meet:

Geocentric solipsists. *Also*Dead rockstars and/or philosophers. To ask them if it's better to burn out or to fade away. Plus, how cool would it be to hang out with not only Morrison and Plato, but ZOMBIE Morrison and Plato. I'd ask Plato if he constantly took notes when he was hanging around with Socrates. John Lennon. I'd tell him "Imagine" is the solution to the world's problems, and graciously thank him for articulating it so well.

Movies:

Do you know how I see the world? Like a person who is dying. It's a worm who is dying to make a butterfly. We must not stop the worm from dying, we must help the worm to die to help the butterfly to be born. We need to dance with death. This world is dying, but very well. We will make a big, big enormous butterfly. You and I will be the first movements in the wings of the butterfly because we are speaking like this." ~ ~ Alejandro JodorowskyIt's a Wonderful Life, Dead Man, Citizen Kane, Amadeus, Nadja, Donnie Darko, Southland Tales, The Last Mimzy. (Percy and Mary)Shelley, Damasio,I want to find the Unification Theory that Einstein started in the novel I'm writing. I aspire to explain the mysteries of this vast sensorium in a nutshell way, complete with formulaic equations that serve as a map or guide to living; using the almighty laugh-out-loud metaphors in the vein of T Robbins and the wisdom of J Campbell.

lick it up baby, lick-it-up

Life. Someone said it is the pain of fleeting joy(I think it was that hot vampire chick in Nadja), some say it is but a dream, other's say it is a glimpse of an eternity that we should like to stretch...

Simile is metaphor for dummies

We are on fire. Consumed by the flames of humanity. It's Prometheus' fault. He was the serpent in the garden, tempting humanity with that which does not belong to us, but had incredible potential. We ...

The Wright Bros knew they had to get above the bullshit

So they devised a plan. It was made of integrity and steel. After several wrong turns on the road of tribulation, they succeeded. They got a birds eye view from way up there, and it wasn't pretty.

If purgatory were a mood, then I am somewhere in between heaven and hell

Why deny the solitary confinement that existence provokes? I am convinced that we are not social creatures. We must fend for ourselves. We are born into the world alone and we die alone. Solitude is o...
