S.G. (Is Writing For The Second Album)

INTRODUCTION + For many years, Pittsburgh has been absent from the rap scene. And now it is time for that to change.At the end of 2005 many rappers from the Steel City were self proclaimed Kings of the city and boasting to be the best the Burgh' has to offer. It now seems that 2006 is the year that Pittsburgh will blow the game wide open with a lot of proven talent complimented with some of the hottest young Emcees heard on wax. +The Takeover Begins Now. +In late 2004 the rap group The Takeover was founded. It consisted of Student of the Game a.k.a. S.G. and Jae Black . With the current success of rappers in the city the two found it mandatory to make their presence felt. They made their debut with S.G.'s solo album titled "The Takeover" and the group mixtape "Street Etiquette Vol.1". These attempts at street fame turned a few heads but were a waste of The Takeover's talent. Both of the albums were recorded in a friends dining room with a $5 radioshack microphone on a computer with Windows 95. Their failure to reach superstar status in the hood discouraged the young Emcees but did not force them to lose their passion in the game. In the middle of 2005 Vega joined the ranks of The Takeover to provide them with the missing link. Vega helped S.G. and Jae Black mature with their skills making this a dynasty in the making. In late 2005 S.G., Jae Black and Vega began production on their first album with the help of some of the hottest emcees in the Burgh' at the time. Sadly, the project was never finished and the group lost contact. + For the next few months S.G. was contemplating if he even wanted to remain in the rap game. In March of 2005, S.G. traveled to his old neighborhood in hopes of finding his old group, he did. Finding his group and thoughts of recording another C.D. with them helped to realize that he belonged in the rap game. Also his passion was too great for him to give up on something he had put 7 years of his life into. On December 26, 2005 S.G. recorded a 3 song demo and posted the songs on a popular networking site which had great results for other unsigned rappers. The success S.G. had on the site motivated him to start production on his solo album in May 2006.
