About Me
I live in the California East Bay area after spending 11 years in Japan and traveling overseas to: Okinawa, Korea, Spain, Canada, Ireland, Germany, Guam, Hawaii, Mexico, Saudi Arabia, Oman and Kuwait. I am also a member of Gideons International and UMUC Phi Kappa Phi.
Wisdom - it is wise to understand that tomorrow is not promised (Proverbs 27:1). We are all part of the greatest statistic (10 out of 10 people will die) so with the samurai philosophy that I study while living in the grace of Jesus Christ, I now truly enjoy life and my family to the fullest regardless of the storms and hardships of life.

So live your life that the fear of death can never enter your heart - Tecumseh
One who is Samurai must before all things keep constantly in mind by day and by night the fact that he has to die - Daidoji Yuzan, 16th Century
Consider if each of us treated every day as if it were going to be our last (it well could be), wouldn't you want it to be your best?
All we are in the grand scheme of time is a brief fleeting vapor, a dash between two dates on a headstone marking a forgotten grave. It is how we decide to live within our brief finite span of time that defines who we are. If we live today as it were our last, every subsequent day becomes a gift and our lives so much more.
Facts do not cease to exist because they are ignored - Aldous Huxley
It is appointed once for a man to die, and after that the judgement. Hebrews 9:27
If today is to be your last day, would you go to Heaven or Hell?
Most people believe in a god that is a loving and all forgiving who will forgive every sin and never send anyone to Hell because they are mostly good or working hard to better their condition each day.
If this fits your description, then the question you should be asking is not whether you are a good person, but whether are you good enough to go to Heaven?
Take a moment and examine the Ten Commandments of the Bible.
At first glance, these may appear to be 10 impossible rules to follow for a good moral life. In reality, these are God's desperate cry out to humanity to show how sinful we actually are and why He loves us so much that He sent His Holy and perfect son, Jesus Christ, to take our punishment and die on a cross for our sins. The Bible warns that whoever says they have no sin deceives themself. The fact is, we are all guilty before God of committing a lifetime of sins and these precious commandments act as a school master and a mirror to show us our actual condition.
We have all broken God's Law and He would be perfectly just to sentence us to an eternity of seperation from His love in the prison of Hell. But wait, God so loved the world that He sent his only begotten son Jesus Christ to die and pay our penalty so that we may be spared and reunited with the perfect and holy God who loves us all. There is no greater love than this and if any of us sadly ends up in Hell, it will be against God's will and His loving desire for personal fellowship with us.
Did you know that the Bible has approximately 150 verses that reveal some aspect of Hell?
Did you also know that it was never created for us and God's will is not to have anyone go there?
Still, some may ask why such a good and loving God could send anyone to such a horrible place such as Hell. To put it plainly, He doesn't.
It is each person's individual free will and decision to reject the provision of grace (un-merrited forgiveness) through Jesus Christ for their sin that sends them to Hell. We have all been given free will and we can freely choose not to repent (turn away from a lifestyle of sin) and turn to God - even though the Bible states countless times over that God's will is that not even one sinner should perish in Hell. Instead He desires that all would repent and return to Him.

Please help me spread the news about these wonderful outreach programs and pray for God to equip faithful people with a burden for seeking and saving the lost.
The vast majority in this world are heading toward Hell and are missing critical information about the Ten Commandments that makes the Gospel of Jesus Christ make sense. To those who are perishing, the Good News of Jesus Christ is either offensive or simply does not make sense.
According to a startling survey by Bill Bright, founder of campus crusade for Christ, only 2% of Christians regularly share their faith. But why only 2% - what about the other 98%?
If you are a Christian and in fact believe what the Bible says about the consequences of sin and penalty of Hell, but do nothing to warn or tell others, then you are guilty of DEPRAVED INDIFFERENCE.
Depraved because you know their fate and Indifferent because you do nothing about it.
Consider a person who sees a 3 year old child fall into a pool drowning but does nothing to save them as they continue to wax their car. They are fully capable of rushing to the child's aide or alerting the parents, but instead are consumed with their own desires and choose to ignore the cries for help and instead turn up the music on their car radio.
Should such a person be held accountable for the child's death?
What about a Christian who knows fully the fate of an unpenitent sinner, but instead decides to remain silent?
Penn Gillet, (Penn & Tellar) and renouned athiest, made the following statement on his video webcast, "if a person who calls themself a Christian truly believes the Bible and that Hell is real, then how much do they have to hate someone not to warn them?"
These words may seem harsh but they should compell you to action to actively fight to awaken those who will perish without Jesus Christ. We cannot continue to use lame excuses that we are afraid of offending someone or to simply wait for someone else to tell them when we have the power and ability to open their eyes to salvation.
This method or style of evangelism from
TheWayoftheMaster.com to share the gospel of Jesus Christ is not new.
It has brought some of greatest revivals and been used by humble men who stood for God and became some of the greatest evangelists in history:
Charles Haddon Spurgeon: known as the Prince of Preachers
George Whitefield: famous for his preaching in America which was a significant part of an 18th century movement of Christian revivals, called "The Great Awakening" and influential in the establishment of Methodism
John Wesley: co-founder of the Methodist Church
Martin Luther: father of Protestantism
John Calvin: central developer of the system of Christian theology called Calvinism or Reformed theology
D. L. Moody
Key Points:
Act 28:23 Paul sought to persude his hearers "concerning Jesus, both out of the law of Moses, and out of the prophets." Here are two effective means of persuading the unsaved. Fullfilled prophecy proves the inspiration of Scripture and 1 Tim 1:8 tells us that the Law of Moses is good if it is used lawfully.2 Cor 7:10 "...godly sorrow worketh repentence to salvation."
Psalm 19:7 "The law of the Lord is perfect converting the soul."
Romans 7:7 and 7:13 - Ask yourself how can we repent of our sins if we do not know what these sins are?
1 Cor 1:18 "For the message of the cross is foolishness to those who are perishing..."
1 Cor 2:14 "The man without the Spirit does not accept the things that come from the Spirit of God, for they are foolishness to him, and he cannot understand them, because they are spiritually discerned."
Romans 3:11 - How do we know that unrepentant man has no real knowledge of sin? The Scriptures tell us, "There is none that understands, there is none that seeks after God." It is the Law that helps us personalize our transgressions. It does what Nathan the prophet did for King David and after the Law does its work to accuse and convict us, it prepares us for repentance and salvation.
1 Tim 1:8-10 "We know that the law is good if one uses it properly. We also know that law is made not for the righteous but for lawbreakers and rebels, the ungodly and sinful, the unholy and irreligious; for those who kill their fathers or mothers, for murderers, for adulterers and perverts, for slave traders and liars and perjurers—and for whatever else is contrary to the sound doctrine."
The Law was designed primarily as an evangelist tool. Paul wrote that he "had not known sin, but by the law" (Romans 7:7)
The Law of God (The Ten Commandments) is evidently the "key of knowledge" that Jesus mentioned in Luke 11:52 as he was speaking to lawyers - those who should have been teaching God's Law so that sinners would receive the "knowledge of sin," and thus recognize their need of the Savior.
The Law stops the sinners mouth from justifying themselves before God. (Romans 3:19)
It is not Hell Fire preaching.
Hell Fire preaching produces fear filled converts who only see an angry, vengeful god from whom they must repent to escape an unreasonable Hell.
Instead, we need to lovingly address the place of conscience, the place of conviction and agreement where God has written His law upon our hearts which works to shut the sinner's mouth. This will open their eyes or at least awaken them to seriously consider their sins agianst a perfect, holy God and the reasonable consequences and reality of Hell.
Charles Spurgeon, called the Prince of Preachers, stated, "I do not believe that any man can preach the gospel who does not preach the law. The Law is the needle, and you cannot draw the silken thread of the gospel through a man's heart unless you first send the needle of the Law to make way for it."
When we open the divine law, the Ten Commandments, and show the sinners precisely what they have done wrong - that they have offended God by violating His Law - then when they become "convinced of the law as a transgressor" (James 2:9), the good news of the fine being paid will not be foolishness. It will not be offensive. It will be "the power of God unto salvation" (Romans 1:16)
Using the Law (The Ten Commandments) lawfully produces tear filled converts who see God as loving and merciful. The Bible's Good News becomes Great News as they understand and appreciate the incredible price that Christ paid with his own life's blood and his amazing gift of undeserved mercy, grace and eternal salvation offered to us.
For them, there is no chance to fall back into sin or backslide. They are suitable for the kingdom, plowing forward and never looking back.
If you are in a position of leadership and find yourself continually labored down by members seeking help with continuous problems of sin, please consider privately (and lovingly) with them whether they show evidence of salvation. Remember that a Holy Spirit filled person will show inner change and the worst thing that could happen is that they are reinforced in their love for God or that they see a need to honestly repent. Afterall, it is God who changes them and if they are unreasonably 'offended' then that too will work toward their eternal benefit. Consider the Good Person Test as a starting point to see if they understand the magnitude of their sin and the incredible grace of God. It may just save you a tremendous amount of time and heartache.
80 percent of Americans profess to be Christian, but consider what the Bible says about those who are self-deceived or come to Christ with a wrong motive and understanding of their sins?
2 Tim 3, 1-5 "But mark this: There will be terrible times in the last days. People will be lovers of themselves, lovers of money, boastful, proud, abusive, disobedient to their parents, ungrateful, unholy, without love, unforgiving, slanderous, without self-control, brutal, not lovers of the good, treacherous, rash, conceited, lovers of pleasure rather than lovers of God— having a form of godliness but denying its power..."
Consider that the parables of the sower, the tares "weeds" and the net in Matthew 13 speak about members of the church.
Matt 25:1-13 speaks about the Ten Virgins. These are members of the church, 5 with oil (the Holy Spirit) and 5 without.
Matt 25:14-30 speaks about trusted members of the master's house but not all are faithful and thus called wicked and lazy servants who are thrown into the darkness, where there will be weeping and gnashing of teeth.
Rev 3:15-17 speaks about lukewarm believers "I know your deeds, that you are neither cold nor hot. I wish you were either one or the other! So, because you are lukewarm—neither hot nor cold—I am about to spit you out of my mouth. You say, 'I am rich; I have acquired wealth and do not need a thing.' But you do not realize that you are wretched, pitiful, poor, blind and naked."
Matt 7:2-24 warns of those who use the power of Christ's name to perform miracles, but never enter into a real relationship with Jesus Christ "Thus, by their fruit you will recognize them. "Not everyone who says to me, 'Lord, Lord,' will enter the kingdom of heaven, but only he who does the will of my Father who is in heaven. Many will say to me on that day, 'Lord, Lord, did we not prophesy in your name, and in your name drive out demons and perform many miracles?' Then I will tell them plainly, 'I never knew you. Away from me, you evildoers!'"
