I program Beats and compose music. Right now, I'm just trying to expose myself to every facet of the production game. There are a lot of different techniques out there and I'm just trying to learn as much as possible. I'm down to collab with some creative people to make something new pop; let's make this cheddar popcorn. Other than the arts, I am also intrigued by some larger scope idealogy, such as the urban landscape, sociology, politics, and economics. I am currently attending Columbia in New York with a double major in Urban Studies and Music.
I am just looking for some cool people from whom I can learn some new things.
I listen to all different types of music, including Hip-hop, R&B, Electronic, Pop, Dance, Reggae, Jazz, Blues... etc. I'm down for anything with a good groove. Most of the time I just kick it and listen to all different types of music, trying to get inspired by the music. Other times, I go through some obscure music to find some samples. Some of my favorite artists in no particular order are the GAME, Mos Def, Hi-Tek, Common, Talib Kweli, Cunninlynguists, Floetry, Hieroglyphics, Danger Mouse, Daft Punk, Donny Hathaway, Damian Marley, Damien Rice, Jay-Z, Outkast, Coldplay, Kanye West, Alchemist, Timbaland, Jill Scott, Zion I, Incubus, Red Hot Chili Peppers, Binary Star, Gangstarr, Jimi Hendrix, Sting, Korn, Neptunes, DJ Shadow, Bonobo, Nas, Pete Rock, Planet Asia, Ludacris, Nas, RJD2, and Steely Dan.
I don't really watch television, but when it is on, I'll laugh at ridiculous people on reality TV shows. I also like to catch Family Guy, Simpsons, 24, Boondocks, and Entourage.
