Hey y'all, guessed it was probably about time to re-write this mofo... so here goes i guess!
I live in Aberdeen, Scotland, where the sky is perpetually grey and the buildings are always grey (and slightly radioactive, although we'll worry about that in 50 years or so), so long story short, aye, grey.
Been living here about 6/7 years, working a bit, college a bit, working a bit more, then college a bit more. Currently in work mode, at The Bassment to be specific. Its an alternative cocktail bar in the Granite (read:Grey) City, its a great wee bar where i share my employment with a horde of other bleary eyed "can't be assed with education anymore" delinquents. A lovely bunch of folks mind you, lots of fun and flair-tastic action to be had.
So what else about me?.. well i live in an ace flat in the 'deen with my ace girlfriend Fliss and her ace (although always sour faced) pet dragon Joey. It's all settled and cool, the first time i've felt like this my whole life, all is well on this front, long may it continue!!
Music's pretty special to me too, be it since i was playing football in my mate's bedroom back in Stewarton listening to Oasis, or the first time Joe came round and put on some Iron Maiden, i've been pretty hooked to catchy melodies and energy ridden tunes. I'm not going to namecheck my favourite bands, theres a section over there to the left for that, but those are the bands that make my foot tap, head nod and very occasionally ass wiggle...
I also have my own band, Black Atom , who have been giving the north east their metal fix for over 8 years now (bloody hell is it really that long?!). It sucks that we're all busy these days with other commitments, be it finishing uni degrees, working, bringing kids into the world or aquireing their alcohol fix (yeah, i'll field that one), but we do make a point of being in a room at least once a week to collectively rock "the fuck" out. We all love what we are together (not in a gay way, except Erskine, but he's a whole thesis in himself) and to share it with the rest of the world would be a dream come true, perhaps one day we will all have the time to go out there and give the planet a lesson in how to rock.
Thats pretty much all i have to say for myself at the moment, im sure there'll be plenty fun and nonsense blethering to come in my blogs.
