Dry River

About Me

DRY RIVER is located at 740 N Main Ave(Main and University). You can sign up for once a week events email at our website, www.dryriver.org. Check our "blog" for open hours and class/group schedules. The computer lab is up and running and we have plans to continue improving it. We have made numerous copies of most of our "zine" collection so most are available to take home with you. We also have our book library catologued with lots of books available for checkout. We've decided to keep the free store manageable-so while we accept donations, we don't necessarily want all your broken junk. Please stop by during open hours with your donations. We also accept cash donations to help with our rent and other expenses, in person or online . Our open hours are minimal right now, but we're working on it-some folks are out of town and some of us have had schedule changes. And finally, we like supporting independent music. During the summer, we have more days open to booking shows. But Sundays, Tuesdays and Wednesdays are very bad for shows. We do our best to accommodate touring and local bands and maintain our own sanity. EVERYTHING at Dry River is by donation. NONE WILL BE TURNED AWAY from any event, class, or resource due to lack of money. This means we don't do guarantees but do our best to hook you up with folks that will draw and get you some cash at the door. Dry River is COLLECTIVELY RUN by people who volunteer their time and money to keep the space open. Decisions are made using CONSENSUS. We appreciate your respect for the decisions we have made to help keep Dry River open and welcoming to all people regardless of race, gender, sexual identity, and age.

My Interests

I'd like to meet:

Anarchists, Anti-capitalists, DIYers, artists, travelers, community folk, anyone who fights oppression, anyone who wants to come by. If you are a racist, sexist, homophobe, or fascist, or anything resembling these things, we welcome you to come and learn about how fucked up it is and what you can do to start the process of becoming more human-like. Otherwise it would probably be best if you just stayed away. Thanks.
