INTERNALLY THREADED JEWELRY lessens the amount of pain felt during the piercing being that there is no sharp threads being put through the fresh piercing. Also being that there are no threads there is no chance of damaging your piercing when removing and re-inserting jewelry once the piercing has healed.

EXTERNALLY THREADED JEWELRY is not only more painful to be pierced with,it is also usually made of cheaper sub-standard materials which is why most piercing studios and tattoo shops carry it. It also greatly increases the chance of irritation and problems(such as scarring) in fresh or even well-healed piercings. IT IS ULTIMATELY A BAD DECISION FOR YOUR BODY!
