After making the move from Perth to Brisbane in late 1998, he secured the position of “Resident DJ†for the Gilhooleys chain. Master D made his break into the “Club†scene in 1999 when he was selected to be one of the Resident DJ’s at what was soon to be Brisbane’s hottest spot, The Dome Niteclub.After 3 years The Dome closed and after extensive renovations Mercury Niteclub was born.. Mercury fast became Brisbane’s biggest R&B and Hip Hop club playing host to some of the world’s biggest stars.D worked alongside many DJs/MCs over the years but the ones that helped take Mercury to its peak were DJ’s Juicy, Dluxx and MC Tank. Whilst holding the Residency at Mercury Niteclub he also played regular guest spots at some of Brisbane’s other Urban clubs including Level 5, Casablancas and Grand Central.After almost 6 years D made the move from Mercury to offer Brisbane some variety and promote his own club night. With DJ Juicy and MC Tank, he started “Soul City†@Cesars Nightclub, reaching capacity within weeks...9 Months later, bigger and better opportunities arised and now joined by Dj Blaze & Mc Mzre from NZ, the boys moved to CHIbar launching something different for Brisbane, offering 3 styles of music in the 1 venue over 3 rooms.Apart from Dj'ing and Marketing Clubs Dylan also promoted Live Concerts, bringing to Brisbane some of the best Urban acts including Sean Paul, Kci & Jojo, Montell Jordan, Joe, Donell Jones, Boyz II Men, Next, Ying Yang Twinz, Sean Kingston, 112, Lil Jon, Flo Rida, Chaka Demus & Pliers, Savage, Xzibit, Raggamuffin, 50 Cent & G-Unit, and huge afterparties including Mario, Black Eyed Peas, Public Enemy, DeLa Soul, Snoop Dogg, Ice Cube, Bone Thugz & Harmony, Proof, Ja Rule, G-unit & Obie Trice, Mobb Deep, Tha Alkoholiks, UB40, Beatnuts and more....Now check out the team, Dj’s Master D, Blaze, Eakut, Dluxx, Mc’s Tank and Katz holding down the coast's Hottest urban spot RNB MEGACLUB @ Barcode, 22 Albert Ave, Broadbeach, Gold Coast.
