Jack this up and I'll send you to be the Brigade S-1!

About Me

I graduated from Baylor University back in December '06 with a very pretty, but useless BA in History. Not really much you can do with a degree like that, I decided that in the end the Army really was the route for me to follow (the Navy was taking too long and the Air Force told me to blow off, which is funny because they can't really even do their job these days...). I got to waste away 10 weeks in Ft. Jackson for Basic Training and and another 19 for OCS and BOLC II at Fort Benning. I'm melting away here in South Carolina at Fort Jackson for AGBOLC. That's Adjutant General Basic Officer Leadership Course for the 99.9% of the nation who are clueless to the acronyms (that includes the Army population too, what gives, c'mon!?)I was supposed to go to Camp Casey, Korea. Not so much anymore. I'm at Fort Wainwright, the eternal frozen wastelands of the Alaska interior. I guess I must've accidentally spilt something on a colonel somewhere and he remembered my name and sent me far, far away. Well... I'm getting kind of used to the place, though I still like leaving asmuch as possible.I want to go to Texas again, there are some people there I like being around. It's only a matter of when I have the time, a commodity I've learned to cherish more than gold or Cinnabon.Questions, comments, concerns? Leave me a message, I like messages.

My Interests

Not Powerpoint or stupid papers or practical exercises 1-3.

I'd like to meet:

I think I met that person already. Maybe also, MG Horatio Gates and ask him how to properly fill out a DA Form 31 to include HRAP, Permissive TDY and OCONUS travel. I bet he'll know for sure.

Music:

Good assortment of everything, I got that Keane album, Under the Iron Sea and it's pretty fantastic, but that's just one example for now.

Movies:

Good stuff with blowing up and aliens and robots and the future and history with knights and pirates and dinosaurs and i like comedy and blah blah blah. I really like a lot of Tim Burton movies as well, they're just, you know, there.

Television:

Adult Swim, yes. Oh and Headline News or MSNBC or CNN, I'm a news freak.

Books:

I like history books, I was a history major, it almost makes perfect sense! Global, regional, military, they're all pretty good as long as I can easily stop reading them and pick again where I left without feeling completely lost. The Economist is a fantastic periodical that I've been reading since college.

Heroes:

That guy that stares back at me in the mirror every day! He's so amazing!
