You left far too soon and you 'are' missed. Be happy Michael :) *********************************************************** ***** ***** A few things about me....hmmmm...let's see. It can be rather difficult writing about one's self because I'm sure I don't see me quite the same as others do, but I shall try. I'm a middle aged white witch who loves nature in all her many glorious forms. I grew up in the beautiful country-side of South-Western Ontario, moved to the lush orchards and vineyards of the Niagara Penninsulia in the mid-80's where I still live. I've been seperated from my 2nd husband over 6 years, not yet divorced, but one day plan to be. I have 2 wonderful sons, and 3 fabulous grandchildren with a new babe expected in Feb. of 2010. I live in an Art Deco, brown stone cottage complete with it's own resident spirit in the attic. I love to write, and have been a serious writer since 2001. I write adult Romanace/Drama, comedy, poetry, and short stories for children. A writer's world is a challenging---often hectic one, but it's also a great place to be, and one in which I enjoy every second. I write under the pen-name of Rusty Blackwood, and assorted poems and writings are listed here in my blog for anyone wishing to take time to read them. I enjoy music, and have quite an electic taste, although I'm not into Hip-Hop, or Rap. I'm also a musician/singer, and once worked proffessionally in the field. I play guitar, bass guitar, and some piano. Although now retired from that scene, I still take part in public concerts, jams, and get-to-gethers with fellow muscians, and old band mates. I love animals--my favourites are horses, dogs, cats, and pigs. Animals can bring a wonderous calm to one's life, and also a sense of being needed by souls who truly appreciate you. I love art. My favourite mediums are water-colour, pastels, pen&ink, charchol, and pencil sketch. I appreciate the French Impressionists particularly Monet. I'm not into Abstract, although I do admire the ability of those who paint it. I enjoy being by the water, boating, horseback riding, working in my gardens, and spending quiet moments by myself. The jack-lanterns are always lit here, and everyone is welcome :) *****

This haunting, and beautiful Joni Mitchell song is not entirely a Yuletide song in the way of traditional, but it is still in keeping with the season and has always been one of my all time favourites. It has been made even more touching by the incredible voice of Sarah McLachlan. Enjoy!
