I'm interested in life and living it to the fullest. What that means to me is exploring possibilities and stretching myself in new directions. I'm interested in things that nurture me, move me, change me. I love to travel...there is nothing like seeing someplace new, someplace different that can put your life in a whole new perspective. My favorite mode of travel is hopping in my car, picking a direction and letting the road take me where it will. I also enjoy anything creative and artistic whether it be of my own creation or someone else's that I relate to or connect with. A poem, a painting, a book, a dance, a piece of music, a voice...the wonder and magic of all these things fills my life with joy.
people who enjoy all the possibilities life has to offer and perhaps actually thinks about those possibilities every once in a while.
It is really difficult to choose favorites...my love of music is immense and crosses most genres and eras. Music can inspire me, relax me, motivate me or just make me feel good, tap my feet and want to MOVE! Okay...John Denver is one of my all time favorites, I love singer/songwriters...Enya, Jewel, Sarah, Joni, Glenn, Gordan...etc. I love classical music though I have a definate leaning toward the romantics...can't get enough of Debussy, Chopin and Rachmoninoff. I also enjoy pop music...though that's usually just because they are light, fun and you can dance around to it and if that's the mood you're looking for...they're perfect. I enjoy Big Band, most anything from the 50's and 60's. Disco is very fun and the 80's holds a nostalgic place in my heart. Being a vocalist...I look for someone who has a really good voice, I love harmony and music that has layers of sound...though a single instrument and a pure voice can also create magic.
Lord of the Rings, Original Star Wars Trilogy ( don't get me started on that new crap), Star Trek (yep I like sci-fi/fantasy), Disney movies, Everything from Pixar, most movies based on comic books (Superman, X-Men, Spiderman, etc), Romantic Comedies...I'm a girl, go figure lol...random favorites would be Return to Me, Sleepless in Seattle, Fools Rush In and Mrs. Winterbourne. I also love old movies, musicals and movies based on Jane Austen books or Shakespeare.
Anything CSI, Grey's Anatomy, and spooky sci-fi stuff...though isn't it depressing how that stuff doesn't seem to last?
Books and reading is one of my all time favorite things! Fiction and non-fiction and pretty much any genre...as in all other things, I look for something I connect with, something that moves me, changes me, teaches me or helps me grow. That is why I tend to collect certain authors instead of just grabbing books at random (though I have done that as well)...if I find an author I connect with I become an avid collector of any and all that they have written. Romance, mystery, sci-fi/fantasy, western (though that pretty much means Louis L'Amour to me), poetry, biographies, histories, memoirs...in reciting this I realize that what they all have in common and the thing that I look for and what draws me to the ones I collect is an idea or philosophy about life and trying to live it as best and as fully as they can. I enjoy books that have good answers to things but more than that I love books that provide really good questions.
My parents. Yep...I know that sounds corny...but there ya go.
