My Interests

I love the Cleveland sports teams with every last ounce of stregth in my body. MY GOD, IF WE EVER WIN A CHAMPIONSHIP IN ANY OF THEM I MAY DIE ON THE SPOT! I'm also a Buckeye fan, but not like the Cleveland teams. When it does happen....and I survive the shock of it all..... I WILL be in Cleveland..... and they may not find me for several days. I have been playing slow pitch softball since 1981. Throughout most of the 80's and early 90's, I was fortunate enough to play on some really, really great teams and we played in many touramnets in different areas of the country (thanks to Mugs and Middlefield Tavern). Most of the time, I have palyed/coached in the Warren recreational Softball league since 1983 and its one of the great things to look forward to in the summer. I am also interested in Civil War history. I have a decent collection of books and tapes about the event. My friend Todd and I finally made it to Gettysburg a few summers ago, and although we did the auto tour, it was still something else to see the Devils Den, Little Round Top and where Pickett's Charge took place. I have had the pleasure of working at Millcreek golf course the last 4 summers and love playing there as well as other great courses in Northeast Ohio. I also enjoy spending time with my family and my great friends watching my beloved sports teams. I recently relocated to SW Florida to take a new job. So far it's been pretty good.GO BROWNS!GO TRIBE!C'MON CAVS!GO BUCKS!GO FLASHES!.. width="625" height="550" ..OSU Marching band doing Script Ohio...I got chills when I saw who dots the "i"Fiesta Bowl '06

I'd like to meet:

.. href="http://imageshack.us"ANY OF MY TOP 5 SHOWN ABOVE.......Now reality: Any nice people young or old that have common interests would be fine with me. Or if you think I'm cool (which I am)! BTW the top 5 are in case you didn't know: Top Row- Brintney Spears, Kiera Knightly, Elisha Cuthbert. Bottom Row- Scarlett Johansson and Carrie Underwood.

Music:

Wow! What can I say about this subject? First of all, I have well over 1,200 albums (CD's and cassettes). I enjoy a variety of rock genres like the Southern rock of Blackfoot, Lynyrd Skynrd, ZZ Top and 38 Special to just plain old hard classic rock of Van Halen, The Who, Aerosmith and KISS, Cream, Led Zeppelin, Deep Purple, The Guess Who, Jimi Hendrix and Pink Floyd. But its all about Heavy Metal to me and has been since my high school days. It makes me feel old when I tell younger people that I saw Metallica when they warmed up for Raven at the Agora in Cleveland in the early 80's, and that nobody knew who they were. Bands that I enjoy are BLACK SABBATH (the masters and my favorite) SLAYER ( kings of thrash) TROUBLE(So Heavy), SAXON(Biff!) METALLICA ( before the Black album did them in), DIO(the best singer in Heavy metal)JUDAS PRIEST(Electric Eye!), VENOM(black metal gods) ,MOTORHEAD (Lemmy is God),THIN LIZZY(the most underated band I know) MEGADETH(met them, cool dudes),ANTHRAX and the fabulous IRON MAIDEN!!!! (see video below).. width="325" height="250" ..
Albums I like !

Movies:

MY favorite movies in no particular orderPatton (The best General the U.S. had in WWII), The Godfather (What guy doesn't have this movie in his top 10?), Strange Brew (I think I have this movie memorized), The Original Star Wars trilogy (Yeah, I know its 3 movies but still...) The Lord of the Rings trilogy (3 again but 3 great ones!), The Natural (The BEST baseball movie... PERIOD!) The Karate Kid (because of all the lines my friends and I use in everyday life) Caddyshack (Same reason as the others, all the great lines!) Aminal House (Belushi at his best!) I also enjoy the super hero genre of movies such as the Spiderman, Batman, and X-men series. But mainly I enjoy a movie just because it is good. There are so many great movies out there: Dances with Wolves, Schlindler's List, The Shawshank Redemption, The Searchers, Raiders of the Lost Ark, Forrest Gump, Pulp Fiction, Goodfellas....the list goes on and on. But sometimes I really like to sit back and laugh at the off the wall comdies that have that quirky ,different type of humor such as Old School, Wedding Crashers, Napoleon Dynamite and the Jay and Silent Bob movies. Or, sometimes I'll pull out the old fan favs like Johnny Dangerously, Pee Wee's Big Adventure or Easy Money. What it really boils down to is this: I like a movie to entertain me. Whether it is for humor, drama, intrigue, historical prospective or cool special effects, it's what I enjoy most about movies. Unlike some people who look for underlying themes, political agendas, or people who are paranoid that Hollywood is trying to take over American values. The thing I ask myself after viewing a movie is whether it was good or not, and like Doug McKenzie said, will it be worth 5 dollars to me and my whole family!.."Rowdy" Roddy Piper in "THEY LIVE"... best line ever.

Television:

The Simpsons (best comedy ever) Seinfeld reruns, Star Trek, The Sopranos, Aquateens, Robot Chicken, Bugs Bunny and Looney tunes reruns, Lost, Family Guy, Justice League, American Idol, Deal or No Deal. I also like the History channel from time to time and also like VH1 and VH1 classics for those countdowns and Heavy Metal Mania! Mostly watch TV for movies and sports.A GREAT SIMPSON'S EPISDOE.. width="325" height="s50" ..

Books:

I have enjoyed the Lord of the Rings books and many other books written for middle childhood like Hatchet, How to Eat Fried Worms and Don't Look Behind You. I guess if I were going to pick a favorite author it would be late Shelby Foote. He was great on the documentary by Ken Burns on the Civil War. **Create Link Effect**

Heroes:

.. width="325" height="250" ..BLACK SABBATH- "CHILDREN OF THE GRAVE".. width="325" height="250" ..BLACK SABBATH-"DIE YOUNG".. width="325" height="250" .. BLACK SABBATH- "TRASHED"
