HOW THEY MET EACHOTHER
It was a cold night in February,
Berlin music producer Felix Neumann was driving home from his gig at Rio’s Berlin. He doesn’t remember what happened exactly but somehow he managed to crash his car into a pet shop.
London filmmaker and editor George Cragg who happened to be in Berlin on business was next door at the kebab shop definitely not enjoying a Currywurst. The car had gone straight through the window and into a rabbit hutch.
Two dogs, and four rabbits came running out. The eager and confused animals went straight into the kebab shop next door. Six animals and a kebab shop are a truly interesting combination and anyone who has seen an alive rabbit on a grill will know it is a beautiful sight.
Felix’s music was still pumping from his car and George started to film the scenario. The kebab man shouted, the dogs were barking and the rabbits were almost vibing to the music. Felix, a little shocked from his crash just said „Could you stop filming and help me catch these crazy rabbits“. „Just a minute,...“ George replied „I tell you with this music it’s beautiful“.
That’s how - Mokkasin was born.
Since then they have been working together on their debut album

to be released in 2008.

Friend George had a lot of old movies and self-filmed footage in his suitcase and they just browsed through this amazing material. Every funny or weird scene is like food to them and they just store it in their unbelievably large archive. Felix has a lot of musical ideas up his sleeve and finally they put all that stuff together. HISTORY
... the really relaxed, funny Berliner. Felix Neumann started the project MOKKASIN as a oneman show – an electronic live act. After he completed his degree in music in Berlin, he has been working in lots of musical projects like Mister Toms, Total Vocal, Monosurround, Funky Potato Club and many more.
Throughout this years his talent shifted more and more towards the work in the studio focusing on music production. From 2004 to 2006 he was part of the Label Slow Jam Music and after which he decided to run his own label, which he launched in 2006 with the german actor Lenn Kudrjawizki.
LEGRAIN Records is now his base for creating and publishing music and pictures.
Finally he met George, who came from London to Berlin in 2006. George spent a lot of time making movies as well as music videos in the marvellous London music scene. His work can be seen in the videos from Elmore Judd, Louis Slipperz and Sam Lewis feat. KT Tunstall etc.
The PHILOSOPHY of MOKKASIN is to create music with video content - Working with samples in a new way and give it live to the people on the dancefloor or in their livingroom.
