About Me

..
I play guitar and sing in my progressive metal band Cellar Door .
My version of "Gemini" by John Petrucci @ the CIA 2/2/07
My name's Tim... I live in an amazing house in Encino (which, let's be honest, I probably don't deserve) with my two best buds.
I made a myspace page where I could just put together little songs for fun by recording a bunch of guitar tracks myself. If that sounds like something you would want to hear, click here .
I like complicated music with actual thought put into it, meaning progressive metal, jazz, and classical make up 90% of my listening. I'm addicted to music theory and guitar chops.
I also really love sports, all sports, but really nothing comes close to my love for hockey, which I've been playing and watching since I was pretty damn young. GO KINGS!!
"Melancholic music is very uplifting. Why? Because it's a shared experience. In contrast, I find music that is artificially happy or very joyful to be very depressing." - Steven Wilson of Porcupine Tree
I have the best friends ever.

My Interests

I'm interested in all the best things in life... meaning, guitars, obscure surrealist painters from the 1930s, progressive rock/metal, poker, Wikipedia , Irish literature from the early 20th century, the Los Angeles Lakers, the Los Angeles Kings, the Los Angeles Dodgers, travelling, beer, laughing, girls, and getting to know new people. I like philosophy and wondering about things that I'll never figure out.

I'd like to meet:

Already met 'em.
