I am here for Friends and Networking

About Me

I'm ... complicated. Not that that means a whole immediately, but explaining it is equally complicated, so here's something of a hint. I'm seem to be constantly in a liminal state, concerning one thing or another in my life. Sometimes it's larger, other times not. For now I'm just pioneering my own path through life and gender, trying to find like minded people to work and play with, before life inevitably moves me on to some other place or situation. I'm in the middle of transitioning, from what to what I'm not entirely sure of yet, though I feel better as I go along. We'll see where I end up. For now, I work with alcohol all day. I don't know how I got so lucky, but it's a good job. I enjoy it, ad not just for the obvious reasons. I was once an avid role-player, but it's fallen by the wayside recently as I've moved on to other things in the lack of people to play with. For now, I'm enjoying the various new crafts I've picked up, entirely self-taught. There's nothing quite like crafting something you enjoy and appreciate yourself, and not just buying it from some big box store. There's more, there always is, but that's all for now.

My Interests

trans activism, LGBT community, steampunk, role-playing (you get to figure out what I mean by this), East and South-East Asia, religious studies, discussing random ass shit at 3 in the morning while trying to deal with being awake and drunk, gender-bending, music of all sorts (almost), DIY, computers, cooking, eating good food, gaming, theatre (both tech and audience), martial arts (Aikido, Tai Ji), soccer, swimming, track and field, drawing/art stuff, making up random words and phrases, OZ, anime, Invader Zim, Family Guy, movies, conversation, driving, Buddhism, Daoism, Shinto, Confucianism, meditation, web design, queer theory, social theory

I'd like to meet:

Though this is really a way to keep track of friends, and even kill time occasionally, I don't mind meeting people here. I'm always interested in talking to trans identified people, or anyone from the LGBT community, but I'm not exclusive. As long people are accepting and open. I love to talk, especially over coffe, or tea, or whatever. Finding people who are passionate about the things in their lives is always welcome. I can't always put out as much energy as they can on particular things, but that sort of energy is always welcome in my life.
I have a special place in my heart and soul for lesbians. I've known so many that have been absolutely amazing people. And I've taken so much inspiration from them, both in terms of how they live their life against all obstacles, but also for my own personal identity. In many ways I find myself closer to them than anyone else.
