About Me

I'm a dancer ... I've been learning Bharata Natyam since I was 2 yrs old, but I also have learnt ballet, tap, jazz, modern, and african dance. I also love to sing! I'm obsessively attached to my family, especially my mom - and am so grateful to be born into such a talented family (music, dance, etc.).
I'm married to the most amazing guy I've ever met in my entire life - Ohm. He's the kindest and most brilliant man on earth.
I just moved to NYC from Chicago, and I miss Chi-town like crazy but I have an awesome job here working in Tourism & Musical Theater, YAY!!!
I was raised in the States (in Michigan) but because of my addiction to Indian movies & music sometimes I seem more like a FOB than an ABCD. I also love my freelance position as Marketing Manager for my mom's performing arts organization - Hindu Temple Rhythms --- that's my true passion. One day I hope to run a Dance School just like my mom. I wish that life had a soundtrack ... that would be really cool to have a theme music when I walked in a room.

Oh, and all the Sweet Valley High books too!

Also my hubby Ohm - an amazingly strong, kind, giving and spiritual kind of guy who is so good-hearted that I'm just in awe of him. My former bosses - Nate, Anna & Gina - very inspiring people and I adore them. My sister Vidya - beautiful and brilliant and full of creativity. My friend Shalini, also incredibly beautiful and a superb & powerful dancer. Harry Potter - of course - determined, loyal and heartbreakingly brave.
