Jesse Powell

Ive been singing as long as I can remember, its what keeps me going whatever emotions I may be experiencing... what it must be like to be standing on a huge stage with millions of people cheering just for you and singing along to all your songs - Heaven- Or otherwise jamming with great friends with nothing but one accoustic guitar and a camp fire! My idol as a child was Mariah Carey and I grew up with Whitney, Michael Jackson, Madonna, Envogue, Motown and Soul, however I am also a secret rock chick on the side! I studied performing arts when I was 16 and performed with various bands, plus some musical theatre. At 18, I went to L.I.P.A - the Paul Mcartney school of music in Liverpool, where I mixed with so many talented musicians of all nationalities and where I started writing lyrics and top lines. I was a member of a 4 piece accoustic group for many years, performing and recording in England and Cyprus and also did a few voice overs for a radio station in Amman, Jordan. I recorded a covers album in 2004 that was completely adapted to my style and I am currently looking for a band in Kent, where I am now studying a BSc in Animal Science - my other passion in life - wildlife and conservation. Even though music has been shelved a little lately, due to my movement in a different direction, I am always open to opportunity and it truely remains in my heart and soul.
