When I wake in the morning and see the SUN peak through my window payne and i adjust myself to reality and realize i'm really here; I say a prayer for the life I have, for the blessing that have been placed upon me and for the life I never had to know... I see drugs in the streets, I see children disrespect the wombs in which they grew. I see mothers abandon live they created, I see fathers spill there precious seeds that can grow into a great life for you and me. I see chicks sell themselves for crack, how can something man made be worth more than what God created. I see sons pick up guns and wave them like flags in the air, I see them take lives like it wasn't even there. I see people on the streets that reach for a hand I see my people act like they weren't even there, My brotha, my sista can we care for today or tomorrow we can end right there. I see a world crying out for love, but what we don't realize is that it is sent everyday from up above. God has been good to me and you, and you, and you.. If he didn't where would you be, certainly not watching the tv or readind this poem from me.
