Leeann "Peewee" Ervin was born January 4, 1962 to Kadell "Casey" & Sadie L. Ervin in Cleveland, Ohio. Peewee, as she was so graciously known to all, was a loving Mother, Daughter, Sister, Aunt, Grandmother & Friend. Peewee graduated from Mayo High School in Darlington, SC in May of 1980. There, she participated in the French Club, Drama Club & The Mayo High School Concert Choir. Peewee was a member of Macedonia Baptist Church in Darlington, SC for many years until she recently joined St. James AME Church in Cleveland, Ohio. Peewee had the voice of an Angel. If she ever opened her mouth to sing, you would instantly start to cry. Just to have her talk to you, would fill your heart with joy. She once even auditioned for Star Search back in the '80s, made the cut but decided at the last minute not to go. That decision was based on her not wanting to be away from her family and her son. Family has always been her main focus in life. There was nothing she wouldn't do when it came to her family and even her friends. She would give you the shirt off her back and if she didn't have one, she would find one for you. Peewee was crowned the "Chicken Frying Queen" of the family. The family get-togethers weren't complete without Peewee's Fried Chicken. KFC and Popeyes had nothing on her!!! ************************************************************ ************************************************************ **** Those left to celebrate her life and legacy are, her parents, Kadell "Casey" & Sadie Ervin Jr. of Cleveland, Ohio, a loving son & daughter, Kadell E. Ervin and Na'Tavia L. Ervin both of Atlanta, GA, 16 brothers all who proceeded her in death and a special brother who shared life with her, Victor L. Ervin who also preceded her in death in 1994, two loving sisters, Angelette Ervin, and Annette (Reginald) Crook all of Cleveland Ohio, Two very special friends for over 35 years Ms. Emma May of Cleveland Ohio & Ms. Beverly Mitchell of Darlington SC, two loving grandsons, Mr. Sherron Faison of Cleveland, OH and Mr. Michael Edwards of Atlanta, GA. Two special nieces, Jasmine and Javonna Crook of Cleveland, OH. Seven Aunts, Leeann Ervin of Darlington, SC, Lillian Ervin (proceeded her in death), Claudette (Joe Sr.) Keaton, Brenda (Robert Sr.) Marshall, Patricia McGill (proceeded her in death), Dominica McGill and Sandra McGill all of Winston Salem, NC. Four Uncles, George Sr. (Berneatha) Ervin, Edward Ervin (proceeded her in death) all of Darlington, SC, Dan McGill Jr of Winston Salem NC and Gregory (Denise) Wallace of Cleveland, OH. 13 Cousins, Joe Keaton Jr., Lisa Keaton, Robert Marshall Jr., Christopher (Michelle) McGill, Shawn McGill, Meagan McGill, Brandon McGill all of Winston Salem, NC, Geraldine Wright, George JR.
