On MySpace - I'm not looking for ANY kind of relationship on here at all. However, I am down for meeting anyone who...is just chill within themselves, has a good sense of humour, enjoys music...a lot lol, and...I dunno...just anyone that is REAL with themselves and insists on doing the same with those they surround themselves with.
In life - My grandmother who passed on Nov 29, 1999. Yea, I'd like to meet her for an extended lunch and walk...just to make sure that all of what she wanted to teach me and pass on to me...was done. Man, I miss that woman more than the english language allows me to express.

In addition to what I stated in the main part of the page, Music is SO much to me. BUT..it's gotta be real...wait, let me repeat this...REAL music! I fully enjoy old school rap, Hip Hop(cause for those of you that don't know...there IS a difference!)..actually...I'd say...PRE-1998 Hip Hop for the most part, Gospel, Reggae (mainly concious reggae though...and "Lovers Rock"), Neo-Soul, Calypso/Soca, Old School...you get the picture ;) Any kind of music that...makes me move, the type of music that grasps you, and won't let you go until it is finished with you. Yes...that's what I'm talking about. I can't work, clean, cook, or be intimate with out it! :)
ALAAAAS...I use to be a movie buff...but over the past couple of years, I just haven't gotten out there to the movies like I use to. I'm gonna try to make 2006 a year of "GET OUT AND SEE A MOVIE ALREADY!" Check back with me about this in December ;) Some movies that I have really enjoyed and could literaly watch over and over again are: Lean On Me (loved that movie since I was in high school!!), To Sir With Love, Casino, An Officer and a Gentleman, Lady Sings The Blues,Usual Suspects, Mahogany, Carlito's Way, any of the House Party's lol, Something about Mary, The Five Heartbeats, Do The Right Thing, A Christmas Story (you know the one - it's the CLASSIC with Ralphie and that damn Red Rider Bee-bee gun haha..came out around...late 80's I think)and...The Three Amigos (I watched this movie..IN THE THEATRES...like 14 times - NO LIE. Could still watch it today and it will STILL crack me the hell up lol)
I'm an A/E (i.e. The First 24), TLC, Discovery Channel type of girl. But, I am also an addict of House, "24", Prison Break, DEAL OR NO DEAL (come on noooow, you KNOW you love it too!!) and can even gain some enjoyment off those "Nanny 911" shows - its just something about them...when I watch them...they make me feel MORE sane lol. Oh...and I can't forget Family Guy...and even Cheaters when I'm REAL bored lol.
I enjoy books that I can relate to. Books that can get all up inside of me and truly make me feel what they are talking about. Books that open my mind and allow it to learn new things...about myself and what I can acomplish.
Some titles that I have enjoyed:
"The Spirit of a Man" - Iyanla Vanzant
"The Lady, Her Lover, and Her Lord" - Rev. T.D. Jakes
"The Prisoners Wife" - Asha Bandelee
"Faith In The Valley" - Iyanla Vanzant
A couple that I would like to read in the near future:
"True To The Game" - Teri Woods
"The Coldest Winter Ever" - Sista Souljah
A Hero...wow..you guys have some questions for us, huh? Okay... a hero. I consider those that are closest to me to be my heros. My daughter, my sisters, my mother, my grandparents - and life-long friends of mine. They have all been there throughout my growing up, and have helped to form me into the woman I am today. Many of them (not unlike most of us) have been through many levels of trial and tribulations throughout their lives - but yet...continue to push on. Always believing that there is SOME way through...you just...gotta want it bad enough. They continue to inspire me and show me new ways of looking at things and appreciating things. So yea...those that love me the most...and have shown me positive and productive paths in life...are my heros! ;)
