About Me

Most people know me as Pochy, or "gorgotron"; I am a native Scorpio,that means that I am curious, intuitive and daring by nature. I cherish the meaning of truth, honesty and loyalty untill the last consecuences. Be good and loyal to my friendship, and I can assure you that I will be the one putting my hands on fire for you; be otherwise, you can rest assured that you will be the main dish on my next patio BBQ meal, nuff said. I work as a bio-medical tech/representative for Western Medical Waste & Environmental Services, a native Industry from Mayaguez, PR. Obviously, the name says it all; I deal with lots of big time hazzardous stuff there.

My Interests

Essoterism, spiritualism, natural sciences, preservation of animals and wildlife in general, politics, music, weightlifting, health/environmental issues, alternative lifestiles, Mountain Bikes, industry/business issues, PC's (graphics & music production), exotic foods, vintage toys, scify toys, aviation, animals in general... I am like a mouse; wherever my nose fits, I'm in!CURRENT MOON lunar phases

I am Not interested in the typical "I wanna meet new friend's" jive usual to these websites; I'f you are a true real life friend of mine, feel welcome. If you are also into hard rock/heavy metal/world/folk/ambient/experimental music, Mountain Bikes, deep topics like essoterism, philosophy, spiritualism or health/environmental issues, then you're welcome.

Music:

I was born on November 19, 1966; four decades enjoying all kinds of music, sometimes since their origins. I have performed as a guitar/bass player in a few local bands (Cyanide, SMACK, Crashboat, Dead Innocence, Killeria, Incarnate, Solipsism, Godless) & been involved some way or another in several others.I enjoy all kinds of music like World/Ethnic/Folk/New Age, vintage Salsa, "nueva ola", Disco, Doo-Woop, etc, but obscure, extreme genres such as Classic Vintage Heavy Metal, NWOBHM, Doom, Stoner, Thrash, Death, Crust, Sludge, Grindcore, Drone, Dark Ambient, Noisecore, Black Metal comprise my main fav ones.Originally I started playing guitar, the usual rock/metal stuff influenced by Van Halen, Zep, Black Sabbath, Judas Priest, Iron Maiden, Kiss etc. Then, the lack of "good" bass players withing groups I was involved made me do the move, and since 1986 I have been involved full time with the instrument. Some artists that have carved my stile with their influence are Geddy Lee, Steve Harris, Conrad "Cronos" Lant, Cliff Burton, Bill Laswel, Bootsy Collins, Jaco Pastorius, Steve Di Giorgio, John Entwhistle, John Wetton, John Taylor, Lars K. Norberg, etc..

Movies:

Not specific movies but authors/directors/producers that somehow mesmerize or have a catharsic effect in me are, for instance, Jean Pierre Jeunet/Marc Caro (Amelie, Delicatessen, City Of Lost Children), Steven Spielgberg, Oliver Hirshbiegel (The Downfall (Der Untergang)), Tarsem Singh (The Fall, The Cell), George Lucas, M. Night Shyamalan, Antoine Fuqua, Ray Bradbury, Harvey Bennett, Genne Roddenberry, etc. etc.. Any movie that manages to take me out of this world and its reality.. Such is the case of someone I consider one of the most influential individuals on the visual arts, Mr. Terry Gilliam, best known and renowed for his short film animations in Monthy Pythons Flying Circus (being aside the only non british in the gang).Film Noir; early surrealism such as Luis BuÃ±uel PortolÃ©s vintage films.. etc..

Television:

All sorts of 70's-80's sitcoms/series, vintage wrestling,vintage scifi/action series, all TLC/Discovery/ National Geographic stuff..

Books:

I rarely have time to digest a book as its supposed to be but, Lobsang Rampa, Von Daniken, Crowley, Arthur C. Clarke, Isabel Allende, Coelho, Carl Sagan LaVey are some of my fav authors...
